Is it just me, or is she miming until the final line? The sound seems to change and the final line sounds different and a bit weaker than the rest of the song.
I have always enjoyed her emotions in that voice. I am a senior citizen now but I still enjoy and cannot forget her singing talent and style.......evenmore so since she looks like my wife who unfortunately passed away.....she has been my favourite and will always be. My tribute.
@amirtoma Yes, her performance in any joyous song was absolutely perfect, although there are some more serious songs that she sings successfully,this is not one of the best. To me another reason for this is this song is in English and I noticed that Vicky's English prononciation is worse than any other language she sings. She sings like a native German or French singer but not English...
@amirtoma I disliked her last songs...People do change their style in years...I can't say anything bad about the way she sings,her art but the style...It doesn't have the passion of 60's and 70's...It's my point of view,of course anybody can disagree..

Vicky's was the better song and the following day my sister , who worked in a record shop, was inundated with customers asking for " Love is Blue".She finally won in 1972. What an amazing lady.

Such a bad song. Really bad moment for one of the greatest singers in the world. I really think she did not have the support from a good composer otherwise she would have shined. this is bad though.
this was poor as a matter of fact it was desperate,i am aware she is older now but Vicky should stick to what she sings best,this song was a struggle ,not able to reach high pitch and last with her breathing,i'm happy to remember her when she younger . guess it happens to all of us over time .
I love this song - many strangely don't - even big fans didn't in Germany . Nice to see so many positives here as usually I feel all alone loving this song ! Most Germans want to clap along to commercial rubbish and thought that is what Vicky would try for ESC 2006 - You see this at concerts - all the uptempo commercial songs get reaction - her stunning ballads very little appreciation . Nobody votes for Germany now so better lose here than have a humiliation in the final for this legend !!

she should have tried it in the 90ies in germanys preselection, except for '97 (when Guildo Horn participated) she would have won by a landside everytime. but now she just has passed her prime I guess and the song was kinda...uninspired?
@alipostaci No she was actually 56 not that it matters . However she was said to be 53 because they go by 1952 these days but her birth date is actually 23 Aug 1949 .
