I had listen this bhajan in my childhood i.e. about 32 years back. It was played often in morning by some radio station. I remember I copied the style of singing of its first two lines, sung by respectable panditji. Later on i left the hope to get this bhajan again for my song librabry. But fortunately got once again. I am so happy and recalling my old memories with this bhajan.

What silken smooth murkis ! What a sweet paean to the rivers !! The polluted Jamuna and Ganga waters as they course down the plains today may not soothe the body or the mind, but certainly in Meera's time their calming magic must have been tangible. Even in D.V.
