For 10,000 Aus dollars for the XF305... Would much rather buy the Canon 1Ds Mk IV instead. Much better image quality than this. Might not get the same auto controls and the amateurs much beloved auto focussing but I am sure ya'll can manage. These cameras are seriously only good for television broadcasting. Nothing else besides that considering the price, though unsure about how much EX1R costs...

I really want the xf300 for the cf card storage and I prefer Canons products. BUT WHY couldn't they have put 1/2" chips in the dam thing??!!! So annoying. Now I'll be forced to wait for two years before they put something with 1/2" sensors in it. Why is Canon so behind in video =(

@sawyerfrye You cant judge this by watching it as a compressed youtube file. The HD Stream of the Canon XF 305 looks marvellous way better then this video.

The 305 cost more then the EX1R it have 1\3 CMOS sensors against 1\2 of sony so this is not surprising

I was not paid or hired by anybody to look at the XF305. It's my opinion and mine alone and the clips are presented as is, straight from the camera so that you can make up your own minds.

I know you state your relationship with Sony on your channel but you should reference your relationship with them every time you review equipment for which you are paid by their competitor.
