It'd be a fight I'd like to watch, because I know if Silva were to stuff Randy's game plan, he doesn't just clam up, and shut down. The man adapts, and changes his strategy as a fight progresses. Silva needs someone who can work under pressure, adapt, and keep their own pressure on at the same time.

Only a properly prepared Shogun can beat Silva. Maybe a jacked Liddell,but he appears on the way out. Rampage? He's not a real fighter and Silva would KO him via clinch,kicks,knees,elbows,or just chop him up. Griffin would take a bath in his own blood. Rampage could get lucky if he attacked Silva in an all or nothing brawl. Silva doesn't like that type of fight, and appears uncomfortable. Pre-injured Shogun was a beast. Wise words. I thought Irvin would charge but he froze then gave up a leg to a Muay Thai fighter which is same as your back to a BJJ fighter. There is no defence to someone rushing in and firing loads of shots at you except run or fight and thats a big gamble. I do like Griffins chances as he is just awkward and tough but somehow intelligent. I still say Anderson didnt have a test at 185 Matt Lindland for instance, he is rough and tough. UFC's Thomas Gerbasi had a fight plan for 'Early' Irvin posted on UFC site saying the secret to beat Silva was body kicks!! That has been quickly removed! Only stand with Silva if you are bulling in throwing or he will slip and get you. Silva isnt doing anything amazing he is just one of few fighters in UFC who worked their way up and learned the basics the hard way. UFC promotes 'exciting' fighters over skilled, disciplined ones. Silva's exposing that strategy with a smile on his bank account.

Irvin had no , or stupid game plan. He had an advantage in power and unpredictability, and just neutralized the only hope he had, by meekly following Silva around. He had to fight like a desperate, wounded animal, instead he cowardly followed Silva around, and let Silva pick and choose when, where, and how to fight. What an idiot! Hendo had the right idea, but he backed off in the second round, letting Silva in that fight. What a dissappointment. There are no good trainers, or corners in MMA.
