  • Digital pianos suck, grand pianos ftw!

  • Great performance... Sounds very nice..

I am quite new to jazz music.. A have a query - does a typical jazz listener recognize chord progressions in the

improvised section.. (He obviously may not know the chord names).. Or is it that the listener just enjoys the

improvised music without understanding where the musician is (in the chord progression)..

  • It probably helps but I guess it's more important to know where the musicians are in relation to the tune. I kind of have the tune in my head when I'm listening to this and see how everything relates back to it.

  • Mind you, these guys get quite a distance from the tune/chords in places. Also there's no bass to underpin things rhythmically/harmonically. A bass line really helps to follow this stuff.

  • I like jazz duo a lot and here is a very good example. You have very good rythm and sence of timing.

  • Good!

  • This is an absolutely beautiful rendition and very reminiscent of Evans and Hall without being slavish in approach. The guitar tone is killer; fat, warm, and sweet. Bravo!!

  • Where can I find sheet music for this? This is awesome!!

  • Excellent!

  • very nice duet, sounds very much like jim hall and bill evans version.

i got the same Eastman, the 803CE but i changed the stock KA PAF to KA USA PAF in black, sound more transparent then the stock.

your tone is like jim hall's, very beautiful.

p.s. and the phrases too =]

  • do you know where i can get the sheet music for this?

  • real book duh

  • great job genius, obviously i wasn't referring to that.
