@DianeOwenForever mine only does it while eating or after eating, his dad used to only do it after eating millet. it's weird, but he's been doing it for over a year and he still seems ok, his dads was worse (throwing up seed etc) but now he doesn't do it at all.
Aww my darling budgie used to make similar sounds when he was a bit unwell. We assumed he might be cold or something. Maybe he has budgie flu:P

The longest living budgie on record lived to the age of 35 or something tho!

Oh my goodness!
One of my budgies does this a lot.
He's a rescue bird so we don't know how long it's been going on for.
It doesn't seem to bother him all that much, but I often wonder what it is.

@binashraf My boy doesn't seem to be doing anything in particular to bring on a "little coughing fit". It just seems to happen out of the blue.
It's strange that his dad was the same. Maybe it's hereditary?
I'm pleased that they are okay :)
