Tyson beat the top contenders at the time. He did exactly what he was supposed to do. No he didn't beat any prime hall of famers, but not everyone he fought was a pushover like you want people to believe.

@Fearstrikess the bulk of his opponents were push overs, at least 21 of them went down in the first round, what you dont realise is that no fighter is born great, it is his harsh experiences in the ring that brings out the best in him. tyson did not have any of those kind of experiences in his early fights and this was one of the reasons why he was found wanting against the likes of holyfield and lennox , two fighters he should have had classic battles with

I don't mean to be rude but that "at least 21 of them went down in the first round" line is a very weak argument when trying to prove his opponents were pushovers. Maybe we should lay the blame on Tyson for being so much better than anyone he ever stepped in the ring against. Again, not everyone he fought was a pushover like you want people to believe. THAT is what you should spend your time trying to prove wrong...not giving your opinion out.

@Fearstrikess i only rate fighters who who engage in combat with other great fighters eg hagler v hearns, sugar ray leonard v duran, ali v frazier, barerra v morales etc etc, do you want me to rate tyson for defeating a bunch of fighters the bulk of whom no one has ever heard of before or after their defeat, sure he beat holmes, but holmes was born in 1949 and spinks shit himself in the ring.
