@cornfednebraskaneer the reason they say that about defenses is because once your defense stops them and gets the ball back, your offense stops them from scoring too by holding onto the ball as long as possible, and by raisng their own score. Makes it harder for the opponent to win. Same goes for the defense contributing to the offense when they score off a fumble or pick. Nebraska let up fewer yards, but when it comes down to it, if you dont win because of it, its wasted. TCU didnt, went 12-1
