  • Every major accomplishment began with a decision to act. What decisions have you put on hold today?

  • Thanking you for protecting our freedom. I'm so greatful the sacrifice and great courage you soldiers have. God Bless.

  • Just awesome! Chuck and others, you are amazing. Your ability to use your situations to encourage and inspire others is just the best use of energy and time I can imagine.

  • super......god bless u !!

  • Fantastic story, and amazing guys!!

  • Love your videos, always have... want to say thanks for posting things like this. Its clear you are a genuinely good person and that's a rare thing nowadays, just letting you know your videos are refreshing and mind opening keep up the good work, once again thank you

  • Very inspirational video. It is amazing what you do. Keep it up.

  • truley amazing

  • Amazing video mate.

  • you guys inspire

  • Poor Bastards. For the haters: Yes we all know they are soldiers, and we all know that they accept the risks of war, but nobody deserves to have this happen to them. Good see there are people out there willing to help them out.

  • awesome shit man. i would help out if i wasnt thousands of kilometers away. hope they win.

  • thank you

  • fps russia?

  • Great video, thanks for sharing. In my personal experience, nothing makes people more happy than helping out at charity places like this. It's so incredibly rewarding and keeps you grounded, reminding you what really matters and how lucky you are. The people are often kind, courageous and inspirational. A lot of people with disabilities like this who are looked after at centers get hardly any visitors and love having people to talk to, it wouldn't be hard for you to make their day.

  • this should be show to ppl that think there lifes are tuff, when they aint and see what these guys deal with in a day to day thing, and realise that there lifes aint so bad. these guys are inspeations that anyone can do anything good on them for goin on wither there lifes after what they have been through

  • This is very inspirational, nice video.

I can't believe how many of my friends keep complaining about everything that happen to them. Like if being rejected by a guy was a good reason to commit suicide, geez. What's wrong with young girls these days.

anyway, I wish I was like these guys, they don't give up and keep going as if nothing happened. Have a nice day.

  • @AmilGaoul27 That's the idea of this video. To show you how productive and outgoing these dudes can be, after going through such a tough thing! Thanks for watching!

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Preaches Against Aggressive Wars according to the Bible (same as Ron Paul's Policy) /watch?v=AeME7Q6Oaj0

"There's nothing wrong with being a conservative and coming up with a conservative belief in foreign policy where we have a strong national defense and we don't go to war so carelessly. ... Legitimate use of violence can only be that which is required in self-defense."-Ron Paul

If Bill O'Reilly really cared about Wounded Warriors, he'd support Ron Paul for President!

  • this is amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MRR0B0T0123 These dudes were amazing blokes to meet. I was very fortunate to have been there that day!

  • beautiful and cold!

  • best....accent....ever....

    great video by the way

  • @ShookOnesTO Most of us on this island have that accent!

  • Ummm did that man in the wheel chair make a liuetenant dan refference o_O "smoking cigarettes, watching tv|

  • I'm going to get so much hate for this comment. But I'm saying, this is what war does to people guys, it screws them up and spits them out, and sends them back to their country for the people back home to try to put back together.

No politician or council should have the power to tell people to go to war, its a massive scale of carnage which they never have to personally deal with.

people have got to stop killing other people.

  • @kijbob - War has a terrible cost, which I believe is almost never justified, but in the all the mess we can still find stories and people that inspire us.

But I agree, people have got to stop killing other people.

  • @connorvanvuuren Aslong as we have greed, religion and revenge there will be war.

  • @kijbob Hi! I agree 100% with what you say. War makes young men have to go somewhere and maim and kill people, children and Mothers included, many animals too. Arable land, water gets poisoned ... all is too awful to describe. The many young men and the women who have to do this get often maimed, and/or die and all victims of war that have survived war, their families and friends, are deeply traumatized for life. How can it be that war is so called legal? It is illegal and barbarous, always!!

  • the 2 people who dislike this are idiots.

  • 0:01 - 0:03 watch this 10 times and have a nice day ;)

  • lovely video

    god bless

  • whos the fuck 1 disliker??

  • I love the stories of Joey and Chuck. Even though they're physically disabled, they don't wanna be guys who just sit around doing nothing. They still wanna do something in life and go forward.

  • 0 dislikes... Sucess!

  • Most of us take our body and good health for granted, it's not something you really think about most of the time... ears to hear the sound of laughter, eyes to watch a beautiful sunset, legs to walk, a voice to sing, arms to hug a loved one, and a body free of illness and pain.

Watching this and the videos that Christiaan's made while in hospital make me feel so blessed to have always enjoyed good health. It's not something I ever want to take for granted again.

  • How the hell does this have so few views. This should the number one video on youtube not stupid Lady Gaga or Justine Bieber.

  • Alot of these guys have some fantastic upper bodies though... and this physical activity really helps them maintain that and be part of life...

    LaReina

  • sad stuff

  • This is most inspiring Christiaan!!! You are a cut above most Australian YouTube Partners. ATY!

  • These men are the heroes we should be providing programs like this to help them out anyway we can. I'm glad there are programs out there for them

  • @monkeys6889 I will help in any way I can.... as long as you're willing to accept help from a grateful transvestite video producer who loves America more than her own boobs!! I got balls baby and I'm not afraid of Bin Laden!!

  • wow those people are very inspiring :)

  • This is really, really amazing.

I've a friend who had both legs amputated, and he still plays sports and stuff. I think it's awesome that some people choose not to let this stuff get them down! Kudos to Rob Rosser for doing this!

  • Extremely inspiring!

  • What an incredible story! How lucky that you were able to find the real heroes in Utah! Fantastic and soo very touching! Thank you for showing us Christian. Sincerely ~ SMileyD

  • @vjm1234 Yeah, it's the best way to travel, taking yourself out of the comfort of your planned journey, and throwing yourself into some different experiences. Im glad I had the pleasure of meeting these blokes.

  • Man depressing...

  • Great job; you guys should make a full-length documentary

  • @goodtwitch One day maybe! We would love to one day.

  • Christiaan, Not only are you talented, funny and good looking, you also have a heart of gold man. This was very moving. Good on ya !

  • Amazing. Theres 3 parts to this vid. 1st, the coaches and ppl who have created this outlet for these Wounded Warriors (WW). I have my own personal issues and sumtimes feel life is going nowhere...imagine these guys who have lost parts of their body, how they must need something to give them joy and motivation in life. Secondly, the WW themselves...their stories are humbling. My eyes are watering. And Finally, the V V Bro's, for being willing to take the road less travelled on a holiday. Thanks.

  • @SubzeroZebra I love it so much when I'm overseas, or somewhere away from home and I get the opportunity to have an experience that I'd never otherwise be able to... I'm stoked that I ran into Rob in the pub that night! He's a top bloke.

  • this is awesome :D

  • Wow. Nice, Christiaan! Thanks for this.

  • I think the most important thing about them being soldiers isn't the hero part, but the fact that they've served their country and then have been left alone by same country because of their injuries. I think it's good that there's help and motivation for those guys.

  • @bloodymalkavian Yeah that's a really good point mate. It is nice to see that these kind of programs are in place, and that this kind of support is being made available to these guys.

  • Christaan, This video was extremely motivating and uplifting. Thank you for sharing my friend. Special people.

  • This is so inspirational. Here I am with a relatively healthy body (damn asthma!) and all I basically do all day is sit on my ass and play video games.

    Very inspirational :)

  • @MADMANx511 Well just as long as you are good at your video games!! Haha..

  • This is fantastic - Thanks for bringing this to us, I found your video fascinating. Very motivating just like yourself.

  • This really makes me feel lucky. After going through hell for 5 years, and finally getting a heart transplant, i'm able to do things now. I really feel for these guys, and what they are doing there to help them is great :)

  • @Karoger1987 I'm glad to hear that you were lucky enough to get your hands on a heart (so to speak) and that you received your transplant... I hope that all is going well for you!

  • @ChristiaanVanVuuren Thanks, i commented on one of your other videos, about being in the hospital so long. lol. 4 months was enough for me! :P

  • Terrific film. They should try canoe/kayak for their summer activity, as that will be a Paralympic sport starting in 2016. Contact USACK.org for info. We had three veterans on the past two World Championship teams, one combat, the others non-battle injuries. Thanks so much for posting.

  • @debsmithpage Thanks for sharing! I look forward to watching it in 2016! Where do you guys train? If I happen to be in the states and somewhere near a training facility over summer, maybe I can come past with my video camera?

  • @ChristiaanVanVuuren They're all over the place now. One wounded warrior at Chula Vista Olympic Training Center near San Diego, and another in Oklahoma City. One non-battle injured veteran at Newport Aquatic Center, Newport CA, and another one in the Buffalo/Rochester NY area. Trials for World Championships team in Lake Placid NY 4th of Jul. Worlds in Szeged, Hungary 17-21 Aug. We've only just started--still very small racing community.

  • Wow Chuck's story... omg And Joey don't worry about not being able to find a girl. You will win some girls heart despite your disability your a sweetheart and your really cute ^.^

  • You really are fully sick. :'c

  • these are some tuff uckers. i wish em only improvement in their lives in all aspects possible. they deserve it

  • The fully sick rapper indeed, uses his little bit of gained fame for the right reasons. I enjoy the videos, although being from the U.S. his facebook posts are at odd hours. Christian, you've responded to me before on facebook and I appreciate it. This is my bands account, so I think you should check this out for sure! And no not heroes, just men with great hearts.

  • Thanks for sharing their stories. This is an awesome video. No matter what some may say, all of our service men and women are heroes.

  • Awesome Video. Wish I could have been in Utah when you shot the video. Until a person has actually worked with these great athletes - one can never clearly understand how much it means to work with them. Nicely done Chris!

  • amazing :) i know for sure in their situation would be stuck inside feeling sorry for myself great men

  • I am so happy that this is the first video I think I've ever seen on Youtube without any 'dislikes'

  • @MissingLink101 I don't want to jinx it, but it's been a few days now!!

  • Thanks Christiaan, its really inspirational to see this.

  • thanks for making this video. It's really beautiful. :o)

  • change their life...ummmm = shit editing - i still love u

  • @Lothomiras The fact that they were soldiers is interesting to me, not because of the hero factor, but because it shows what motivation/discipline the extra physical training has given them. They are natural athletes, and they are so highly motivated to maintain a certain level of physical performance, that they continue to do so, even when life goes as far as taking their limbs away... The other thing is, Chuck had his sight and legs taken away by a brain tumour, and Joey in a car accident.

  • @Lothomiras Important to note that these two particular blokes weren't hurt in combat injuries, they just happened to be in the army as US Marines when they were unfortunate enough to go through a brain tumour and car accident, so these two boys (Chuck and Joey) actually have a bit of an "anti-hero" self-deprication involved in their lives... They often feel that since they weren't wounded during combat, like a lot of their mates from the courses, that they are not as worthy...

  • @Lothomiras Open mouth and insert foot. What a tool!

  • Great video guys. That is an amazing program. That had to be an awesome experience for you. Talk about an inspiration to us all! And that includes you as well Christiaan with what you went through.

  • i wish i had motivation like them. incredible, imagine having your life crushed by an injury but still being able to make light of their situation. amazing bunch of guys thanks for making us aware christian

  • this video has been up a day, and no hatter has disliked it yet! that must be a new record!

  • @arisheps100 ... it's still standing too.

  • Thanks for this guys it's really good to know that there are people like chris and all the guys out there training it's a real inspiration :)

    Thanks.

  • @thekoolaidhunter It was a very inspiring opportunity for me too. These guys were pretty incredible.

  • Chuck Sketch is one tough dude... the guy fought his way to all sorts of problems and still keeps going with a positive attitude... inspirational... (good report btw christiaan)

  • @drappke It was amazing to meet a bloke like this, that had basically been fisted by the world, but was double fisting it right back, by enjoying it as much as he could in every way he could. I was super moved spending this day with them.

  • Humans are awesome.

  • Being in a wheelchair myself its so inspiring to see these guys doing all that they can to stay active!! Thank you Christaan for this great video ....

  • @LeonSORTX No worries, I'm so glad that you got to see a bit of these dudes lives, and hope that you find it somewhat inspiring. It astounds me to see how much positivity the human spirit can give some people despite the situation they are in. Chuck is a legend.

  • True heroes .

  • 0 Dislikes :)

YouTube Community, show some love :)

  • "We don't back down from anything, we just keep pushing foward"

I've never heard anything that inspirational, thanks so much for making this video Christiaan

  • @rith5 Thanks to you guys for watching it. These guys deserve their story to be seen.

  • Awsome

  • Amazing video! Thank you very much.

  • Like, favourite and subscribe, get this video on the front page, get it out there, show the people of the world what these 'wounded' men can acheive!

  • @Karlos1760 I think there's something really amazing about being able to see how easy you have life, and it gives you such perspective on your own problems.

  • This was really interesting and inspiring. Great video, Christian.

  • Great video Van Vuuren Bros. It really puts things into perspective. We sometimes whine and complain about such small things, and these people who have suffered greatly (losing part of your body!) still manage to push through life face up, chest held high. It's amazing! Thanks for another great video.

  • "Tell us where the trees are, so we don't run into them and things like that"

    - Awesome Dude

  • @Assasin342 He said a few things like that throughout the day, that were so funny, because he is still able to look lightly at these extremely difficult circumstances that he's been dealt in his life... A soldier through and through.

  • What can't you guys do. Great video.

  • this was heartbreaking - tearing up because they're heroes, they still get through the day, even though they're hurt. even though they lost parts of themselves. <3

  • some dust got into both my eyes.. :'(

  • heroes. god bless these men.

  • Sweet vid christiaan

  • Comment removed

  • It's sickening that your rap videos get thousands more views than these videos.

  • The Van Vuuran Bros and Rob Rosser are probably the nicest guys in the world at the moment.

  • this is the sweetest and most hard hitting video I have ever seen.

thumbs up if you agree <3

  • Great video Vuuren Bros.

It's what i say, "Dying is far to esy, the ard bit is keep us alive"...

    all the best

    sercout

  • @sercout That's right! But when you are faced with that, you either make it easier, or power through the hard part!

  • c.v.v. nice video really shows me that whatever problems we have we must be thankful for our lives...make the best of our time right.

  • Wow, this hit me really hard.. Do they have donations?

I want to give them some money and say thanks to them for doing something amazing for them.

  • @TheNickOswald If you look up Team Semper Fi online, or the National Ability Center, there are ways that you can donate. I'm sure either of these guys would love a donation of any kind.

  • Wow man .. thanks for sharing this experience!

makes me really bloody thankful for what i have.

  • wow thats nice what there doing for them if i could i would help but im in canada and i cant ski :c but i can shoot :D
