  • i love how in all of ma lins training vids he doesnt have a shirt.. true chinese spirit

  • die guten alten klebezeiten :D

  • Is it Ning Gao in the back ground?

  • this was before 2008 i believe because ma lin is using red skyline 2 still he speed glued un till after the olympics which was 08, thats when yasaka sponserd him to use yasaka new era black

  • +1 for the guy picking up the balls

  • @GeneralSpecific3 the guy picking the balls disliked this video :D

  • @GeneralSpecific3 +1 for showing his body. XD

  • @GeneralSpecific3 i use a $4 butterfly net and bend the end flat, push it along the floor and will pick up maybe 100 balls at once.

  • wtf, how can u say, that, he doesn't use speed glue (in this vid)? just listen to the sound when he hits the ball.

anyway, for chinese rubbers you need about 15 layers of glue, otherwise you won't get any speed from the rubber.

  • what brand of shirt is ma lin wearing?

  • he usually wears li ning shirts. but i don't know why he doesn't wear a shirt when he's training

  • Well it depends, Chinese rubber gets a different type of speed, like the Skyline he uses, it picks up speed after it bounces and takes off then. It's a quick attack, constant speed that's consistant. Most top players dont use the fastest stuff, so many still use Sriver and half the top women use Hurricane 3.

  • yeah, but no pro player plays an unglued or untuned rubber if it's a sriver or skyline. Some also use tenergys or tensor rubbers that have been factory tuned

  • Timo boll uses fast rubber tenergy 05

  • He uses sriver

  • Nope he did but he doesnt now he uses:

    Blade: Boll ALC

    Red side: Tenergy 05

    Black side: Tenergy 05

  • Thankyou damn where did u get this info?

  • butterfly

  • That's not what I hear from China, from people who live and play in china and export rubber that I buy from there and from forums and companies...but surely a random guy in the internet who doesnt even know the name of the company he's talking about (DHS not DDH) knows better than everyone else in the world.

  • theyalso need(ed) speed glue in the training you potatoes

how should they practice like they play in games without speed glue??

  • Even if he used as much glue as you say he did, film yourself using that much glue, and show us how great you were able to control the ball.

  • ma lin does glue, I saw a video where he puted 16 layer of speed glue O_O

  • i can give you 80 layers - and i bet my grandma can beat you.

  • naw ma lin is just the fucking king and yall dont kno shit bout gluing, hes just the man with speed glue its hard to control the ball unless ur used to it, and anyway he doesnt glue his rubber

  • Guys, Ma Lin doesn't glue his rubbers x)

  • its because of the blade. the rubers are glued 10 times or more. u dont have to do much to let them fly like rockets

  • its all technique you noob.. glue got nothing to do with it.. they explode a split fraction of second before they contact the ball.. its perfect tecnique..

  • Glue does help with the speed and rotation. The glue actually saturates the rubber and makes it more elastic. Search "speed glue" on wiki. Secondly, I am not sure if people train using speed glue but I am sure that they do use it in competition.

  • tell you what.. glue your rubber 10 times like this guy says Ma did.. get yourself a table some balls and try hitting the ball creating as much speed and spin than Ma Lin.. then get back to me with the results..

  • Sounds as if you were a pro. Let me tell you, I do know how to play. I don't need you to teach me how.

  • There is no point in training without speed glue & then using it in a competition, as all your strokes need to re re-adjusted. Top players (would have up until now) glue from training as well as competitions.

  • do you think ma lin dont have good forehand when he stop glueing??

sorry but my english is really baaad

  • Nice Jersey!!

  • It´s amazing how fast he can play the ball with a modicum of effort.

Especially the last one is incredible
