@cultivator23 cultivator , this is going to sound ridiculous, but one of the reasons womens body shapes are different from decade to decade is much more calculating than the style of bikinis. The very body shape of women is determined largely by what hollywood sees as a trend. In the 80's and early 90's, the techno glam image was still a big part of music videos and that body image was long, and slender. Now, we are in the rump shaking era and specific models that have a big booty are utilized.

Hollywood jumps on the bandagon of whatever is new. And by new i mean anything the public is not familiar with. The 80's look was largely a mimck reboot of 50's style gender nuetral clothing. When the 70's look got popular towards the late 90's more bustier models were given opportunities to appear in videos andmovies.
