k3n7cr1p3: think you're thinking of someone else. the 79 is consistently running in the 8s, and its single turbo. so consistent that it placed first in small block power adder at drag week. against cars with more then twice the displacement.
John Huber and John Blair are the reason why i was inspired to keep working on my car...from title issues to motor and tranny issues... to brake and a whole lot of other issues. i am going to make my svo a low 10sec high 9sec stang because these guys are showing that it can be done thanks for the push i needed.
I didnt pull it, and can view it fine. perhaps youtube spazzed for a moment. I know its horked on me before with the 'this video is no longer available', and then a few hour later its working fine. :/
I had asked the huber clan what turbo it was, but i was the drnka at the time. :) if i recall, its a 80mm compressor side, on a turbonetics (?) large frame CHRA, and a 9.6 A/R turbine. (yes, the decimal point is in the right place)
is it a stick or auto?

Someone needs to re-upload this. I'd love to see it, and show it to some friends and coworkers.

nope, not a turbonetics turbo, its a precision turbo. fuel and spark by megasquirt.
