I wasn't even given a chance...it almost seemed like they wanted me to be their ass kisser as opposed to being a man and being dedicated to upholding one of THEIR 4 principles (Manhood). Coming in and knowing information i'm not even suppose to know!!! I How can someone join an organization and not already be living by it's principles or something similar to it?
It was almost as if they were trying to intimidate me as if i didn't know i was of legal smoking age and a male. The way some of these guys talked to me it seemed as though they felt those letters on them and me trying to get it made them better than me. Is that their own insecurities or what bro? They'd come at me with "conviction" so to speak and when i came back at them knowing my info like i was taught and standing up for myself as a man first thing one of em said...
Could you post a video pertaining to the attitude one should have going into these organizations? I attempted to join Omega Psi Phi INC, already knowing the difference between hazing (mental financially or physical) and pledging. I am also an individual who prides himself on being a MAN. One of the problems i have is the way members talk to men attempting to join. I would say it was certain individuals only but how would i handle that seeing that these individuals are VP and Presidents.
so a cat who knows nuttin about the org, who's newly exposed to bglo's shouldn't ask a question at the smoker about the history of the org, the questions have to be restricted to info concerning the chapter...ok...lol
out of curiousity man what org are you a member of and when did you cross?
I am very happy that you did these videos and i am learnig a lot. I am interested in a organiztion and i am older then the other. What advise do you have for me.
I am currently a FT student but I am, lets say, much older than the members of the organization that I am interested in and concerned about pledging. (I didn't do it when I first entered college) What advise do you have for me or should I do it grad chapter?
what you are doing is great. i havent pledged yet but time is growing near. my sister's made that statement that she wanted to pledge DST because of thr colors. i explained to her that colors dont make you that you make the colors. so msybe you should make a video giving pointers of ways to chose the right org. to join
I'm interested in going to a delta informational and I know I can't wear their colors to the informational, would white be one of them? because I know that's one of their colors.
Im fucked....I wore a light purple shirt to a Que informational...but it wasnt even close to intentional...but I have fabulous "credentials" 3.6gpa, in 4 clubs, vice president of one and moderator of another and I also played basketball. But like you said...if people arent opening up...look for other avenues... I must say...I dont feel the love at all and I've done most of everything right...the only screw up was the purple shirt...
@AlexHDTV im a junior in high school rite now an when i graduate i want to pledge. my question is how do you know when they are going to have a rush and how long does it take for you to know if you got accepted or
Based on my experience, I would advise not wearing any organizations colors no matter if you are going to a DST informational and wearing purple, pink, or gold. My friend did that and had on a purple dress shirt, our other greek organization's lapel pin (our colors are red and white), and she had a pink umbrella. We were together and they really heckled us, and they took her umbrella.

thanks for advice but i hope i seen ur videos month ago, i'm interested in an org. however i didnt make the best first mpression. since then i have done alot of research and have prepared myself and have met all the requirements. idk if they remember or not and if that would hurt my chances
Boy I wished I'd seen this video when I first entered college in 2003. Yall listen to him, because I had to learn the hard way. I was interested in becoming an AKA and I guess you can say I became kind of obsessed, lol. Don't overdo it, because they will notice! All in all and not because of what I did, I didn't have the best experience with that particular chapter/org. I've since learned about and have more interest in another org.
Once again another great video I'm still in the process of trying to decide which organization I'd like to pledge bt these videos are helping me a great deal thanks Alex
I subbed with both of my youtube channels. I subbed on my other channel because you're intelligent and I used to wonder about this stuff back when I was in college. It's very interesting.
I subbed on this channel, bc I can tell that you're a nonconformist. Even though you're in a fraternity, you have your own mind. I like that.
I would bring a pad of paper to take notes on and take down some questions that may come across while you're in the meeting. It doesn't hurt to have some pre-written questions like the ones I mentioned just to have something to go off of. Hopefully this helps.
Okay, I have a question but first, thank you for making these videos. As a man who is interested in hopefully joining a Divine 9 Fraternity you are helping me in many ways. My question is, when it comes to the questions to ask in a interest meeting is it better to have them memorized or would it be okay to have them on something like index cards in front of you to make notes on?
