When I first finished this game, I got a bad ending and thought that the wishgranter was made by aliens or something, but now just few weeks ago I read the whole STALKER story from STALKER wiki and understood everything. It's kind of funny to finish a game and not know what just happened, then go to internet and read all about it. xD

I can't wait what STALKER 2 is gonna bring.

finished the game,found the doctor,found the stash,found the secret door,found the Consciousness,refused it and shoot the mother fuckers...yeah i'd say it is the real good end! and by the way,more information about Strelok,laboratories and story line you find with the Priboi Story mod...you also find Strelok dead by the Millitary Deposits.....

anyway,it's an awesome game...

If you want to play through with all the endings, get the L.U.R.K. mod. LURK fixes bugs, adds features like stealth and more weapons, and lets you see all the endings just like the "vanilla" default game. Of course, once you see this ending, the game is over.

If you want to keep playing after finishing the game - which means you don't get to see this ending - then get SuperMod 2.4. SuperMod includes Oblivion Lost and adds tons new features and content.

@vau0807 well i played STALKER with and without LURK... LURK is awesome but has some major flaws ... escpecially the weapons ... a ak103 deals less damage than an ak47 ? srsly?

and at some point an important npc didn't appear so i had to restart cause the main quest was impossible to fulfill

but all things considered LURK is pretty awesome but needs some fixing

@MrEl. Sure, LURK has its flaws. However, it adds one spectacular feature - *stealth*! In vanilla Stalker and with SuperMod 2.4, enemy grunts can spot you from half a mile away at night without a flashlight. LURK actually rewards the player for using nightvision.

mostly because people dont have a choice. the guide usually gets killed by dogs or bandits before getting to him. making it impossible to get the real endings.

not sure if you know yet or not. but you can only continue playing after the c-conciousness if you are playing with Oblivion Lost mod. Not sure about AMK mod. never tried that one.

No, in that ending, the Wish-granter does remove the Zone, but he takes away your eyes as well.

Actually, wish-granter is just messing with your mind, it never remove the zone or made you blind. Wish-granter gives that dream right before it erases your mind and makes you a drone for C-Consciousness.

All wish-granter endings are bad endings.

Sigh, I didn't find this ending, but you can't get it with oblivion lost, can you at least play the last levels? because i wanted the zone to disappear, i knew i shouldnt have trusted that big particle effect blob :P

That's the point of OL, that the game doesn't end. They changed the ending so you fight Koshei, a powerful controller wandering around outside the NPP. Once you kill him you can go back and join factions or play as long as you want. So there's no real ending but at least you still learn about c-conscious and who Strelok is.

after getting into the secret area with wolf's decoder you'll find a blueprint hologram thing of the wish granter. shoot the six power cell things and c consciousness will appear. You cant find the secret area if you didnt talk to guide and doctor

First time I played the game I got the "blind" ending, which was kinda cool but at the same time I was like "damnit". This ending is good because he has all the noble intentions from the "blind" ending, but he actually ends up getting rewarded as opposed to being deceived

This ending definitely gave me that "rewarding" feeling. Which is good because a good game can be ruined by a shitty ending

In the other ending, Strelok ends up sacrificing his individuality...which is what makes us human and makes LIFE, worth living...

In that field, you can just see Strelok ENJOYING his life! He is thankfull for his individuality...You can see he is full of joy, glad to not have sacrificed his soul to the Collective...

DAMNIT! I got all the way to the Wish-Giver and neglected to make any saves prior to the point-of-divergence so I can accomplish all the different endings...

The last save I have...unfortunately is in the Army Warehouse district BEFORE I enter the Red-Forest... Now I gotta go back, and destroy that damned Brain Scorcher AGAIN, and get through Pripyat AGAIN!!!

This ending, however deffinately looks cool! I HATE Collectivism..why would I want to be part of a hive-mind!?

in my opinion this is the real end of the game... the other ones kill you as I noticed on youtube. If you accept the c-consciousness you find yourself in one of those green tubes and the zone is still there. But you don't have to end the game, I came back to a saved game just before you enter the central area and I'm still playing every day since months(installed mods and make some guns business through the whole zone.)

I don't see how the zone could be gone, i'm pretty sure that the c-c was trying to stop the zone expanding or something and killing them would make the zone engulf the whole world or something similar.

The north wind or whatever its called started the zone when the scientists tried to interfere with it. So when you kill the scientists the north wind wouldn't need to preoccupy the scientists and reverse the effects of the zone. I think thats how it works.
