I remember these anime's! They used to show these every morning during summer vacation on public access kid's block!

(they're just the japanese equivalent of bootleg movies-that-grandma-might-acci­dentally-mistake-for-the-real-­thing-at-supermarket-register-­side-baskets though. Even if they are in higher quality than most films in this category.)

The Hans Christian Andersen version of The Little Mermaid made me cry when I read it in a book in my second grade year. I just thought it was so sad, I don't know why

@Teknmask Yes, it kinda follws the original story of Hans Christian Andersen.They said that they gave their hair to the sea witch in exchange of that knife.They told her to kill the prince and spill his blood on her legs so she could have her tail back.(I hope my english are not so bad..that's why I didn't add english subtitles :s)

She is going to become sea foam because she couldn't make the prince love her. Her sisters gave their hair to the witch so the witch gave them a knife to stab the heart of the prince and make her continue living like a mermaid again. She couldn't do it and the prince woke.

Then they fell to sea and he remembered that she saved him. So he loved her and fulfilled the promise and she didn't become foam and they lived happily

Well that is better then the original but I still love the original, it sucks that it didn't end this way but then again; the little mermaid was made to become an angel by God because of her selfless act.
