  • OBVIOUS FAKE...!

Lol, just kidding. not bad considering it was 10 years ago that you made this

  • More details

  • Ah, yes. That's the thing. If it's what the client wants, it's what the client gets. That's what many artists have to deal with every day to put bread on the table. Still good work, regardless.

  • The water effect did not help to sell it. I would have gone for not so violent shaking and have wisps of steam and perhaps a couple of sparks (electric lines broken) coming from the pavement crack. A video clip always looks better using the "less is more". Good work, though.

  • @MrJimwilhelm Ah, yes. But what if the client wants walnuts flying out of the ground?

  • FREE NUTS FOR EVERYONE

  • @SPITBARZJUMPCARZ Finally, someone understands this video.

  • @SPITBARZJUMPCARZ

    Get your peanuts

  • wat program u use?

  • @Butt2Munch I made this when I was learning After Effects about ten years ago.

  • In the book of Matthew when Jesus told his disciples that earthquakes would happen in one place after another i wonder if he was talking about Satan handing over knowledge of technology to produce them. HAARP. After all before the tower of babel split god even said that man could obtain anything if they put thier minds to it. If you are going to find truth you need to uncover all the layers distracting you from it. So dig away like its buried gold its actually right in the bible.

  • @hamslam199 whaat?

  • This rules.

  • I'm sorry, but this video CRACKED me up LOL

  • IDIOTS.

  • You shouldnt let the rock burst that looks fake but nice effects

  • you need sound on this!

  • fffddfedfdfdf

  • \nice

  • look up super volcano yellowstone they are having a swarm of earthquakes there right now 1-24-2010

  • The fault that runs through Tennessee and Missouri would probably result in a quake along the mountain ranges since it's the meeting of two stable land masses. Not what has happened in Haiti where the island is a virtual volcano since all three fault lines meet at one point. Therefore I think Tennessee is only gonna shake a little not blast open.

  • I think what is being referred to here is the New Madrid fault line. Which, if a devasting earthquake were to occur, then 60% of Memphis would be destroyed. So I assume that's why Memphis is displayed here.

  • They say another 8. earthquake near Memphis would cause billions of dollars worth of improvments.

  • lol!

  • About how much of St. Louis?

  • awsome!!!

  • Well thats amazing considering it was mad eout of asitll photo, however Id suggest you owrk on the cars sliding part, that bit seemed very unrealistic

  • nice

  • not bad could be better I know it is very difficult to simulate earthquakes

  • That's Memphis, not New Madrid.

  • fake

  • Well done for pointing out the obvious!

    I does say ANIMATION!

  • i nknow thta it is fake but that is how it is

  • this is great. how do you get the lamp posts to wobble? different layers?

  • Yeah, this was all based on a still photo, which was then broken up into layers in Photoshop. The gravel from the explosion is a few instances of Particle Playground with a Bevel Alpha put on them. The telephone cables are mask lines with a stroke effect on them.

  • If you're gonna use a picture depicting New Madrid, don't use a city background. New Madrid is the farthest thing from a city. It barely qualifies as a town. It's just some no place in Missouri remembered for an earthquake two hundred years ago. The town has never recovered.
