I will for sure. U shud check out my truck on my channel. Fixing to change out my cv axels the boots have had holes in them for months and all the grease is gone u can here the carnage when I go in 4low reverse.
@binkley11 Just checked out it out, it must be so cool to go mudding in your own place. I have to drive an hour and a half to do any type of 4x4. And yes you can fit 37s with a 3" body lift, great job.
I put the add a leaf in the back and cranked up my tbars all the way and a 3in body lift and I'm running 37s. Had to trim a little front and rear but very little. Gonna get the torsion keys and see if it really does smooth the ride out cuz it is rough as hell now. Good vid I also have to watch my 5 month old son and my two daughters while working on my truck. It ain't easy.
@binkley11 Great job love to see a video on it. Yea with the bolt tighten you don't get the full range of the bars spring. You will see the difference when you put the key on, I'm going to have to make a video on how it work and why tighten the bolt just makes the ride worst. Oh and you did it with 2 children, I only had one so kudos to you.
@kendrickevans301 Really? There is always someone who will state the obvious. This kit is to add an extra 2" of lift so you don't rub your oversize tires, for as little as $70 bucks, without impairing your stock ride.
@bulrydrdan listen, I was just trying to see if you knew that are not, because believe it or not not many people know that that is what it actually means, and I hate o see them altar it, but thanks for the harsh comback
Why would new keys be any better than cranking up the stock keys? Its all about twisting the bar more. Same amount of twist but using more bolt to get there. Is it a big deal how much bolt is used. If it is why would they give you that long of a bolt? Also it doesnt add movent to anything only changes the starting point of the travel. More down less up movement.
that did help me thank you!! i dont have my bolts crancked all the way but i want it a little higher. all the shopd here in Phoenix, AZ never give me a straight answer haha thanks again!!!
help me out here, i have the stock torsion keys cranked up to level out my 2000 f150 ext. cab right now and i have 285/70/17's on it....would the aftermarket keys lift it 2 more inches higher from how it is now so i can put my new 305/75/17's on it???
@EJ1owner23 Well yes, but you do not want to drive with the bolt fully cranked up. The ride would be too hard on the shocks and frame. The leveling kit is allowed 2" without losing the factory ride and suspension, if you require more lift that you need to install a larger lift. Hope that helps good luck.
Hey man nice truck and thanks for the helpful video, however I have a 2001 f150 4*4 it comes wit the stock 2 inch lift in the back, my question is I wanna put a 3 inch lift on it do I leave the stock blocks and put the 3 inch blocks on top of the stock ones PR do I take the stocks ones off???
@MrCrusty529 Yea, your right if you consider that I was watching my 1 year old, video taping myself, oh and of course raising the truck, removing the tires and narrating by myself, you are absolutely right. All I did was dick around the whole time. Thank I sometime need an outside view from a jackass to post constructive criticism. Good job keep up the good work.
@shamuslauer1 OK either I didn't get what your saying or you didn't write it correctly. You heard the key rape the hell out of my truck? Who said that? And second if you raise the original all the way up, your ride will be so hard that you might break your shocks. The key puts enough torque at the center position so you get lift and a smooth stock ride. I take my truck out and it runs smooth on & off road daily.
@oooanthonyooo i have a 2001 and i have the same size tires as you i have a leveling kit but only because i wanted it leveled out it cleared them without it but a leveling kit definately looks better
Just got a level kit put on the other day now the 285s look small also thinking about adding a leaf to the rear. Its a 14 year old truck never had any probs with it since day 1 and dont wanna go too crazy with it now and make stuff start to break on it. What size tires you think would be good to put on it
Great video, I wish I had the tools to perform all of the work myself, however what was the exact ready lift kit that you purchased (item #). I have a 2001 ford f150 4x4, 5.4L V8, and I cannot find a kit that includes a rear block kit.
@trecio05 I got it 3 yrs ago on eBay for I can't remember what the item # was but I have seen many types on eBay since. Just go to eBay and see one you like get the part number and see who makes it. Total Performance, Ready Lift, Supreme Suspension and many more make these kinds of leveling lift kits. And from what I have seen they all work and perform all the same way. Hope this helped thanks for watching this Video.
man i messed up today when i put my back lift kit on i took both sides off and then i had to straighten the axle back up. that is a pure example of examine then work
@thatoneguy752 Oh not good, always do it a side at a time. Well you got it done, and it works? Thats all that counts. Hope everything work great, now take it out to the sticks and have some fun.
@houkdog13 Really, OK lets put it this way. The tires will raise the axle for more clearance right. OK now the two more inches allow you to put on bigger tires in turn more clearance. Now that wasn't hard no was it.
I got a question I got a 07 2wd supercrew I wanted to lift it up 6 inches, but was not sure what would be better a lift kit or a complete suspension lift...hope you can help looks like you know what your doing.. Thx
@soyrigoberto OK a 07 2 wheel Drive huh, well first since its only for looks I would go with the cheeper one. Only because you will not use this for off roadin but just the streets. Good luck.
Does this truck have the off-road package because I'm looking at doing this to my truck but it came from the factory with 2 inch blocks in the back and leveled so I'm not sure exactly what my options are. Anybody have any ideas?
@GeneralK494 Wait, your truck came with 2" blocks? Because mine is a FX4 which means its a Ford Truck thats 4x4 and a tow hitch. Now the factory never puts blocks on the back springs. The dealer may have put a lift on it in the dealership. OK lets start from the begining. What year is it, what model and what drive train is it. Oh and what are you looking to spend on it?
@bulrydrdan It is a '97 F-150 4x4 with the off-road package. The blocks in the back look like a factory part, and I'm 99.9% it was a factory modification. Also, it already sat level from the factory and I'm pretty sure the off-road package included: skip plates, leveled and raised 2", lower gearing with a limited slip in the rear. I still haven't decided on if I want to lift it 2 more inches or just leave it how it is.
@GeneralK494 Well if its stock then just find another set of 2" blocks or two 4" bolcks and replace the back. Now in the front if its a torsion key find a ajustable one that lifts to 2" - 4" and that should work for you. You might need to replace the shocks. Good luck.
@GeneralK494 Well I got mine on ebay for $70, it was the last one and the only one at the time that had both blocks & key sets. Now I seen a number of keys & blocks on ebay. I would start there.
@bulrydrdan It is a '97 F-150 4x4 with the off-road package. The blocks in the back look like a factory part, and I'm 99.9% it was a factory modification.
