  • I will for sure. U shud check out my truck on my channel. Fixing to change out my cv axels the boots have had holes in them for months and all the grease is gone u can here the carnage when I go in 4low reverse.

  • @binkley11 Just checked out it out, it must be so cool to go mudding in your own place. I have to drive an hour and a half to do any type of 4x4. And yes you can fit 37s with a 3" body lift, great job.

  • I put the add a leaf in the back and cranked up my tbars all the way and a 3in body lift and I'm running 37s. Had to trim a little front and rear but very little. Gonna get the torsion keys and see if it really does smooth the ride out cuz it is rough as hell now. Good vid I also have to watch my 5 month old son and my two daughters while working on my truck. It ain't easy.

  • @binkley11 Great job love to see a video on it. Yea with the bolt tighten you don't get the full range of the bars spring. You will see the difference when you put the key on, I'm going to have to make a video on how it work and why tighten the bolt just makes the ride worst. Oh and you did it with 2 children, I only had one so kudos to you.

  • you do know that the fx4 package is a off road suspension package right?

  • @kendrickevans301 Really? There is always someone who will state the obvious. This kit is to add an extra 2" of lift so you don't rub your oversize tires, for as little as $70 bucks, without impairing your stock ride.

  • @bulrydrdan listen, I was just trying to see if you knew that are not, because believe it or not not many people know that that is what it actually means, and I hate o see them altar it, but thanks for the harsh comback

  • @kendrickevans301 Dude I sorry, I didn’t mean it to sound mean but sarcastic. JK Its cool I though you were doing the same.

  • Why would new keys be any better than cranking up the stock keys? Its all about twisting the bar more. Same amount of twist but using more bolt to get there. Is it a big deal how much bolt is used. If it is why would they give you that long of a bolt? Also it doesnt add movent to anything only changes the starting point of the travel. More down less up movement.

  • Stupid incomplete video

  • @BoredTexasBoys LOL this is a 3 part video, I’m sorry you didn’t get it......

  • that did help me thank you!! i dont have my bolts crancked all the way but i want it a little higher. all the shopd here in Phoenix, AZ never give me a straight answer haha thanks again!!!

  • help me out here, i have the stock torsion keys cranked up to level out my 2000 f150 ext. cab right now and i have 285/70/17's on it....would the aftermarket keys lift it 2 more inches higher from how it is now so i can put my new 305/75/17's on it???

  • @EJ1owner23 Well yes, but you do not want to drive with the bolt fully cranked up. The ride would be too hard on the shocks and frame. The leveling kit is allowed 2" without losing the factory ride and suspension, if you require more lift that you need to install a larger lift. Hope that helps good luck.

  • Ur audio wasnt loud enough

  • @808chileboys Maybe you volume is too low, I can hear it fine on my computer.

  • @bulrydrdan yeah sorry about that when i restarted youtube the sound went normal again..youtube been having problems lately

  • @808chileboys That cool.

  • Haha this dude called it a LIFT CLIT!

  • Hey man nice truck and thanks for the helpful video, however I have a 2001 f150 4*4 it comes wit the stock 2 inch lift in the back, my question is I wanna put a 3 inch lift on it do I leave the stock blocks and put the 3 inch blocks on top of the stock ones PR do I take the stocks ones off???

  • What kind of flooring is that in your shop? looked good

  • @4seasonlocos Its grey apoxy with white & black paint chips & its my home garage thanks it real easy to keep clean.

  • nice truck:) what type of tires do you have on there?

  • @iamarclover123 Firestone Destination A/T 285/70-17 for everyday & Firestone Destination W/T 33 for off raod.

  • you just dick around more than anything in this video

  • @MrCrusty529 Yea, your right if you consider that I was watching my 1 year old, video taping myself, oh and of course raising the truck, removing the tires and narrating by myself, you are absolutely right. All I did was dick around the whole time. Thank I sometime need an outside view from a jackass to post constructive criticism. Good job keep up the good work.

  • i heard the keys rape the hell outa your truck. i just cranked the stock ones up

  • @shamuslauer1 OK either I didn't get what your saying or you didn't write it correctly. You heard the key rape the hell out of my truck? Who said that? And second if you raise the original all the way up, your ride will be so hard that you might break your shocks. The key puts enough torque at the center position so you get lift and a smooth stock ride. I take my truck out and it runs smooth on & off road daily.

  • @shamuslauer1 WTF are you talking about ?

  • With the kit they won't rub at all tho?

  • @Ford2002ish Funny how that works, just a simple 2" lift.

  • Would the 285s fit my 2002 f150 without the lift kit?

  • @Ford2002ish Yes, but they might rub against the trim, while turning hard right or left.

  • @Ford2002ish

I have a 1998 f-150 and got 285s on it fit more then fine and i do not have a lift

  • @oooanthonyooo i have a 2001 and i have the same size tires as you i have a leveling kit but only because i wanted it leveled out it cleared them without it but a leveling kit definately looks better

  • @mobaseballmo9

Just got a level kit put on the other day now the 285s look small also thinking about adding a leaf to the rear. Its a 14 year old truck never had any probs with it since day 1 and dont wanna go too crazy with it now and make stuff start to break on it. What size tires you think would be good to put on it

  • thanks, ........ but are they 17X 9's and did you have to get a "offset" wheel to clear inside rubbing ?

  • @powerstrokejoe Nope, not even close.

  • Hey I would like to know the size wheels you are running and tire size

  • @powerstrokejoe 17's and you can use the same wheel to go up to a 35x12.50R.

  • @bulrydrdan nope, not even close.

  • Great video, I wish I had the tools to perform all of the work myself, however what was the exact ready lift kit that you purchased (item #). I have a 2001 ford f150 4x4, 5.4L V8, and I cannot find a kit that includes a rear block kit.

    Thanks for the time...

  • @trecio05 I got it 3 yrs ago on eBay for I can't remember what the item # was but I have seen many types on eBay since. Just go to eBay and see one you like get the part number and see who makes it. Total Performance, Ready Lift, Supreme Suspension and many more make these kinds of leveling lift kits. And from what I have seen they all work and perform all the same way. Hope this helped thanks for watching this Video.

  • man i messed up today when i put my back lift kit on i took both sides off and then i had to straighten the axle back up. that is a pure example of examine then work

  • @thatoneguy752 Oh not good, always do it a side at a time. Well you got it done, and it works? Thats all that counts. Hope everything work great, now take it out to the sticks and have some fun.

  • He said lift clit,...HA!

  • @destingulfview Yep sure did. I left it in when I was editing. Not too many people caught it. LOL

  • a two in lift wont get you any more clearance oh course... the low point is on the axel and thats not gonna change

  • @houkdog13 Really, OK lets put it this way. The tires will raise the axle for more clearance right. OK now the two more inches allow you to put on bigger tires in turn more clearance. Now that wasn't hard no was it.

  • i wish i would have found ur vid earlier. but im fixing to do the blocks and seeing how you did it helped what did you torque ur u bolts down to

  • @thatoneguy752 42 ft lb, the req are in the manual or the internet.

  • i used an air chisel to get my torsion key off. and a ball joint press. but mine is a chevy and urs look easier.

  • @thatoneguy752 Dam, really? Well take a vid and show us how hard it was.

  • Whats the point on only lifting it 2 inches?

  • @JustRide626 More clearance, oh course and the truck still fits in the garage.

  • you need to go bigger then 2 inches

  • Did you install extended shocks? Or were the stock height shocks acceptable?

  • @willcp00 Stocked, and they still work just fine.

  • i want a BEER

  • @planbkate ME TOO, I think I will make some.

  • Need a life kit for the jacks.

  • @YTBYlover life kit? Oh, a lift kit, no just a bigger jack. much bigger jack.

  • @bulrydrdan oh dang it, i always say that. I guess its my life typo.

  • @YTBYlover Thats cool I was just kidding anyway, I do need a bigger jack...lol

  • I got a question I got a 07 2wd supercrew I wanted to lift it up 6 inches, but was not sure what would be better a lift kit or a complete suspension lift...hope you can help looks like you know what your doing.. Thx

  • @soyrigoberto OK a 07 2 wheel Drive huh, well first since its only for looks I would go with the cheeper one. Only because you will not use this for off roadin but just the streets. Good luck.

  • Does this truck have the off-road package because I'm looking at doing this to my truck but it came from the factory with 2 inch blocks in the back and leveled so I'm not sure exactly what my options are. Anybody have any ideas?

  • @GeneralK494 Wait, your truck came with 2" blocks? Because mine is a FX4 which means its a Ford Truck thats 4x4 and a tow hitch. Now the factory never puts blocks on the back springs. The dealer may have put a lift on it in the dealership. OK lets start from the begining. What year is it, what model and what drive train is it. Oh and what are you looking to spend on it?

  • @bulrydrdan It is a '97 F-150 4x4 with the off-road package. The blocks in the back look like a factory part, and I'm 99.9% it was a factory modification. Also, it already sat level from the factory and I'm pretty sure the off-road package included: skip plates, leveled and raised 2", lower gearing with a limited slip in the rear. I still haven't decided on if I want to lift it 2 more inches or just leave it how it is.

  • @GeneralK494 Well if its stock then just find another set of 2" blocks or two 4" bolcks and replace the back. Now in the front if its a torsion key find a ajustable one that lifts to 2" - 4" and that should work for you. You might need to replace the shocks. Good luck.

  • @bulrydrdan Did you order your lift on the internet or find a store that sold them? And how much did you spend?

  • @GeneralK494 Well I got mine on ebay for $70, it was the last one and the only one at the time that had both blocks & key sets. Now I seen a number of keys & blocks on ebay. I would start there.

  • @bulrydrdan Thanks for the help, if I decide to lift it another 2" I'll let you know how it turns out.

  • i have a 2000 f150 and am trying to install a 3'' lift and cant seem to get the keys to work any advice?

  • @07joshmartin what seems to be the problem?

  • @bulrydrdan

when i try to replace the new keys they wont go up far enough to put the pin in for it to rest on...

  • I can see you are a fan of Harbor Freight?

  • nice truck man, that vid helped me install my lift kit

  • Are those aftermarket wheels or does the FX4 have different wheels?

  • These are the FX4 wheels that came with the truck.

  • you buy it used?

  • yea but it was all original. Those rims are not after market.

  • i know but are those a/t tires or mud grips?

  • Oh, yea the tires are MT's. I bought AT's (same size) and placed the MT's on other rims, so I can change them out for trail riding. The dealership put MT's on when they sold the tuck to me.

  • can you put 40's on this model with a 2 1/2 lift?

  • I dont think so, I think those are too big for the clearance.

  • had a girl with a 2" lift clit once...i miss that girl

  • hahahaha funny comment

  • what kind of floor jack and jack stands did u use? im looking to get a set and dont know whats good

  • haha did u hear him say "this 2 inch lift clit includes"

  • Good catch, I did say that. I was going to edit it out but left it in for fun.......LOL

  • nice video and cute kid. This video helps

  • if you don't mind me asking, what did you put down on your garage floor? it looks nicer to work on than rough cement. I'd like to do that to my floor too.

  • Grey apoxy with white & black paint chips.

  • nice tool box man i got the same one for chrismas from my girlfriend

  • Yea both were the floor model, bottom was $99.00 and the top was $49.99. I use them as much as I have time to work on the truck and cars.

  • Nice, how much was the lift kit if i may ask?

  • 2" front and rear.

  • I mean money wise.

  • This kit was $70.00 on ebay. It was the only one I found at the time that came with the torsion key and 2" STEEL lift blocks.

  • Harbor Freight works great and real cheep.
