  • Phoebe Cates @ 0:02?

  • This was when the Big Mac was worth eating.

  • Here in Canada a Big Mac in 1975-76 was.45 cents

  • ah, the years when people started to begin noticing the real fat in the true "burger and fries" unfortunatley mcd's will be aroound for a longgg time and is the most reason the freakin world is over weight. let me tell u if ur gonna get a fattening piece of food from mcd's everyday then do 6 jogs around ur backyard everyday. -.-

  • square box i miss that

  • @levipwndHD While your there ask what their nutrition grade is they will be ashamed to say it, but the grade is F . look it up on google. just sad.

  • I think imma go to mcdonalds and ask em for a big mac meat cheese and bun

  • Back when you could actually call it a BIG MAC. Damn, nosy liberal health food nazis. I want my toys back in my Happy Meal too M$X@!!.

  • Ah, 1975. When you could eat McDonald's & not have stupid people who are easily brainwashed into believing that it was bad for you. As for obesity, try giving your kids one cheeseburger, rather than two & get them out of the house for some exercise. Don't blame fast food, blame your bad parenting.

  • Looks great!

  • i like turtles

  • When obesity started to rise as the chain spread and more were born. So sad really.

  • considering the us dollar is worthless id say the dollar menu is quite over priced

  • @mrtundra45 Zing.

  • @BelialAndar should be the quarter menu

  • ALL BEEF PATTIES?.............. fuck outta here MACdonalds!

2 GMO patties with additives and preservatives special high fructose cornsyrup sauce on processed bun with rubber veggies.

  • @mrtundra45 I know I made them for 3 and half years

  • EVERYBODY'S TALKING ABOUT IT!

  • You could buy that sandwich, small fries and a coke for less than two bucks in 1975!

  • All of these people are dead.

  • @shatchett0 Maybe some but at the very least old as hell. haha

  • @shatchett0 or dieabedic.

  • :O ITS STUCK IN MY HEAD ITS SO CATCHY :O

  • Omg Big Macs were so much bigger and better back then! O_O

  • Wait a minute! didn't the Big Mac have two slices of cheese?

  • what's special sauce?

  • @itsjustrainin crap...

  • Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.......... :))

  • Thats one kool box

  • wow they looked gross back then too

  • I work at Mcdonalds. It's the most disgusting thing ever watching how the food is made..

  • The box back then was nice.

  • how much was a big mac in 1975?

  • @kaiser85collins About $1.25

  • now its chemicalised buns wilt letttuce shity sauce some animals meat ( run over dogs ) and mayonaise ( 2kg gain with 1 teaspoon)

  • Alright

  • I want a box that opens like that.

  • You mean where your $4.95 gets a break!!

  • big mac should be called a lil mac now

  • i wonder if it tasted the same back then :P

  • McDonalds, The most Expensive harakiri

  • 1975 -- would this be when they advertised "Feed a family of four for $5.00?"

    OMGoodness.... the memories....

  • i don't think i never had a big mac before, yeah isn't that weird?

  • "Big" *pth*

  • At 0:38 it look's like Prince William!

  • wow. that mothers face at 58 secs.. (shutters)

  • Just what made the Europeans and the rest of the world think the U.S. Is the fattest country in the they got there own obese people I ll agree we have so many fast food in America that servs fat greasy food that is not good for any one too eat nowdays!

  • well that looks better than what they sell nowdays.. big mac looks like someone dropped it on floor and accidenty step on it..

  • the guy at 37 sec looks like a hunkier Prince William lol.

  • @Sixtiesfreak

The guy at 0:37 is Powers Boothe, who went on to star in movies such as "Red Dawn" and "By the Dawn's Early Light", among many others.

Does anyone know who the guy is at 0:10 - 0:11?

  • @EdWatts That is not Powers Boothe. I looked up everything I could on wiki and other sites and he's never done an ad for Mickey D's. He was doing theatre and his first on screen acting job was in 1977.

  • @Sixtiesfreak

Yeah, it's him. If you were Powers Boothe, you probably wouldn't put a very brief appearance in a McDonald's commercial on your resume after the subsequent successes you have had in your career. There are LOTS of people who were in the early McD's commercials who went on to have pretty good careers in the entertainment industry, many of who will not admit to having done those commercials due to the recent "fashionability" of bad-mouthing everything about McDonald's.

  • @EdWatts Just because it resembles him slightly doesn't mean it's him. Where's the proof that it's him? I think that guy looks like Prince William, doesn't mean it's him. Where's the info that says it's him? :)

  • I'm not a fat-fearer in any sense, but if you want to know why we're heavy in America, notice the size of the soft drink the 'far out' woman is drinking. THAT WAS A LARGE back then. Now it's a SMALL.

  • @Sincopare O.O So what the heck is a large over there...

And over here in New Zealand, they give kids the SMALL drinks with a happy meal... Do you mean that the kids today in the States are getting those huge sized drinks?!?!?! That is disgusting.

  • @TheKingAwesome A large at McDonald's is 32 ounces.

The standard soda pop serving in America I would say is 16 ounces, even for kids. That's double of what was normal when I was a kid, at 8 ounces.

I got a 'large' soda pop at the movies the other night. $3.75 USD and it was 48 ounces. Three of us split it, and we had the diet version.

  • The two girls at the beginning (and end) are super hot. Probably not anymore though...

  • great a commercial from 35 years ago is making me want mcdonalds now =/

  • When Bolton got its first McDonald's in about 1980 it seemed very exciting. Last time I went for a burger I was disappointed at how bland they seem to me now.

  • Mc Donalds was like a cosmic experience for me when I came to North America in 76. We had none in Europe then. I still love a Big Mac. I remember how you used to have ashtrays with the M on them (made of tinfoil) when I was in my teens in the early 80s. Now they'd call the cops if you lit up in there.

  • Yup- and I think the Big Mac costed like 69 or 79 cents back then, if I remember right! Hamburgers were 29 cents, cheeseburgers were 39 cents...you could eat a whole meal @ McDonalds back then for a buck! And it still gave you the Mc-trots the next day, too! X{~

  • far out!

  • 0:07 monkey XD

  • @Numba1SouthParkFan LLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL

  • fuckerrrrs

  • BUM

  • bring back those fuckin' boxes.

  • Why can't the burgers be big like that again like they were back then, not shitty squashed up sickening sanwiches of shit. And I want that box.

  • @camandhayley the squashed part is only half of the problem. But what happened to the BigMac itself? It shrinked in size though the box still remains as big as it was. Did they think nobody would notice? I pay almost 5 € for a burger that isn't even half of what it used to be a few years back!

  • that was funny

  • that shit even looks good.... 26 nyears earlier..

  • That guy at 0:10 looks exactly like musician/singer Dan Hicks (of Dan Hicks and his Hot Licks). Anyone?...

  • Two small, partially frozen meat patties composed of horse flesh remants, wilted lettuce, a bun which looks as though it was squashed, rancid cheese, various condiments (which may or may not be past their expiration dates), all assembled by some brain-dead teen who is handling all burger components even though they existed the bathroom without bothering to wash their filthy hands. Thank you, Ray Kroc. Bon appetite.

  • 1975's sammich!

  • i used to get big macs when i went.

  • I bet if you went into a McDonalds cooler you'd find some of those "beef" patties....uh I mean preservative patties.....that dated back to the 70s.

  • look how big the patties were?

  • It's not weird sauce it's thousand Island dressing with the works on a bun. :D take it to the bank.

  • Does anybody remember if McDonalds food tasted the same back in the 70's as it does now? I wonder if it was different because there were less preservatives/additives used 35 years ago.

  • I wish they had boxes like that now thumbs up 

  • That Box Makes Me Crazyyy

  • They used much sturdier cardboard to hold the sandwich elements proud back then.

  • I believe that the guy at 0:10...

    (sunglasses)

    Is Chuck Norris

    YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH

  • The first time i had a Big Mac was o nthe south shore of MOntrea with my grandfather and yes, I fondly remember the red box! It was bigger then! And, yes my dad cconcurs....

  • they need to start boxing big macs again

  • Wow . The ingredients seemed so much better back then. Now the song goes: weird sauce Modified meat meal more weird sauce modified corn glutien stail lettuce tortured cow more werid sauce on a seseme seed bunn!

  • @DanielsCompany lmao, don't forget the processed tainted radioactive mechanically separated meat prosthetic fries heart attack/disease on a bun! ....yes, I hate McDonald's, shoot me. -___-

  • @DanielsCompany Thats catchy

  • @DanielsCompany No it was crap back then too!!!!

  • i wish my burger came in a nifty box

  • only a true big mac eater can sing this super fast lol

  • "Far out!" lol

  • FAR OUT MAN

  • You dont see the sesame seeds on buns nowdays ever notice?

  • @BonniePLC You're right...it's not the same sandwich. I bought one the other day and it's about 2/3 the size of the original. Where are the sesame seeds? Not as much sauce either. Why not forego the televisions and McCafe crap and give us back our BIG macs? Also, the filet-o-fish sandwiches are tiny. Are those minnows or sardines?

  • @mrentertainment43

    Dolphin.

  • Back in my day, Big Macs were 4 feet high and each one was packed in a wooden crate. They only cost half a penny each, but of course we only got paid 2 pennies a year so McDonalds was like a fancy meal out. And we had to trek 17 miles to the nearest one. And they didnt have toilets, just a well outside. We had to draw our own water for our coke, but the coke gave us disentry so we didnt usually bother. Nowadays McDonalds is shit.

  • @Wezzipooh that made me tear up in laughter hahah :P

  • @Wezzipooh lol awesomest post of the day. prolly of this entire vid, but i only read the first few.

  • @Wezzipooh Alright, Lou Pickles ;)

  • @Wezzipooh That was shit

  • Far Out!The sandwich you get still never looks like the one in the commercil! That will never change..

  • my dad told me big macs where bigger and they even gave you a fucking box

  • Remember back when you'd be in the backseat of the car, see the large yellow 'M' in a still hopeful distance ahead, ask, "Can we go to McDonald's?", and then hear the hated, "No", from the front? But sometimes, and it seemed very arbitrary, the "No" wasn't heard and the car would magically slow down to turn into the driveway!

This was back when moms gave nutritious homemade dinners and McDonald's was a treat, not a daily meal. We were happier then.

  • This was before everyone was surfing internet porn. A simpler nation if you will.

  • @mrentertainment43 Indeed it was.

  • at least they used cardboard boxes instead of polystyrene then

  • LOL "Special Sauce"

  • wow the hamburguer was made with real meat!....old times

  • He looks like Chuck Norris. LAWL 0:09

  • @Trudermark

ah, almost. But not at all. So not LAWL. LOL HE ALMOST LOOKED LIKE SOMEONE. LAWL.

    LAWL.

    wow

  • Two moldy patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese...

  • Хуйня полная! 35 лет назад эта реклама создавалась, а вы это говно жрёте! Это видео создавалось, когда ещё СССР существовал! Я голосовал против этой хуйни.

  • @GavrilinDenis totally dude

  • @tonybelf I'm Russian.

  • @GavrilinDenis Going on internet translator sites.....How Clever.

  • We had the Ronald McDonald Club. They'd show movies and give us free food. Surprisingly only the kids in my neighborhood went. Those were the days when the folks let the kids run all over the place and not think twice. It's much different now. If the kids are out running around the parents think the kids are up to no good. I don't care if my kid's out running around I just don't want him eating McDonalds!

  • the commercials are better now that was type corny

  • If only the burgers actually looked like that -.-

  • order a big mac now 4x as small

  • 0:38 = (Prince William of England) =O

    Was that so hard?

  • god i miss the 70's =/... shame i wasn't born til the 90's.

  • If only a Big Mac looked like that

  • Big Macs were big back then. Now they are much smaller.

  • That box is fuckin' cool.

  • @KashiwaDaisuke But the unfolded shape doesn't look like it would tesselate, hence wasting material.

  • @KashiwaDaisuke i was thinking the same

  • I know it can't be since he would've been 10 at the time, but the guy at :37 is the spitting image of Jeremy Piven.

  • @jamesdcarroll1 my thoughts exactly!

  • "alright........"

  • I wonder if these people in the commercial are still alive.

  • "I Think There Describing a Bitch"

  • @FaeIan

  • Prince William even makes an appearance at 0:36. lol

  • Far out!!!

  • lol they still sing that

  • i wish my dollar got a break nowadays

  • Come on, the only reason anyone eats it is the sauce. The sandwich is 75% lettuce and bread, but the sauce is godly.

  • i was expecting the old guy to be " pickles,,, er onions, fuck it"

  • Well, great job - Now I want one!

  • 0:01 All beef patties, picklepel sauce, lettuce cheese and this. Pickles smell.

  • A guy I went to college with claimed he worked at McD's in high school claimed he used to tug off into the special sauce, when he was bored or the manager pissed him off; which was pretty much all the time! Special Sauce with "cream of some young guy".

  • McCancer

  • i like that big mac box, looks better

  • I worked there in 1977, Before they even served breakfast. It was good food then! Now the beef has been replaced with cardboard.

  • How long have childrens happy meals been about. the toys are crap now to what they used to be. anyone have any originals.

  • You have to wait alot longer to get served to get less as well.

  • Is that Chuck Norris's brother at 0:10?

  • Ahh... back in the day when McDs actually cooked a burger while you waited. Now, they keep the greasy meat in a little plastic warming tray swimming in fat. Uggh.
