@Summonspaceqex200 there are a few things you can do, beginning with closing all unnecessary programs and stopping processes that aren't considered vital. (type msconfig in your "run" or "start search" to open a useful utility for this.) next, make sure all the settings make sense for your system. if you have to run games on low graphics then off the bat you need to reduce the video size and density. Check out my other videos for even more info

@sebbes97 Most Games nowadays Take full control over your video card and will not allow you to capture unless you place the game's view mode to "Windowed" allowing you to re-size or select the window with the screen capture record area selection before beginning your recording. Hope this helps

If you encode the file go to location and add .mp4 at the end. Now you can open it in vegas or whatever and render it.

@ratedgangsters position your orange marker where you want the video to end and right click the segment and select "Mark In" where you want your video to start and "Mark Out" where you want it to stop. You can do this and then import the file again to chop addition sections

@thisisholland they are totally different programs, encoder is designed to transcode or encode new videos. Movie maker is designed to make movie type dvds or home movies. They should be used together for best results. Encode a wmv with encoder and enhance it with movie maker

@kitkatishy The best way to do a commentary is to play the video and record your audio by itself as you watch the video. Then encode it as an audio overlay. Don't worry about timing the beginning to closely, just wing it. The encoder will help you adjust the timing. Hope this helped

You, sir, need to encode your video. When you do this, it will go to a place in "My Documents" called Expression. Check through that to get to the output. Match the times, and there's your video.

@scorpi149 to add audio select the "enhance" tab then check the audio overlay box. Now you can select any previously created audio files to the final product. Also you can play an audio player in the background if your computer can handle it and set your microsoft expression 4 screen capture to record the audio from your hardware. GOod Luck

@dinesh73ful If you are trying to record a game or another graphically exclusive game then you will need to run it in windowed mode. Happened to me just now and I thought about your post so there ya go. When you are in full screen in a game and dont have it windowed, the game will be given all the rights to the video card to save on processing. Smart, but tricky. Good Luck

@ziptop3 some games you will have to synchronize the frame rates and make other small adjustments depending on the game and what video card you are sporting. As far as the mic and system audio simultaneously, Expression Encoder Screen Capture allows you to capture audio and video from ALL sources on your system AT THE SAME TIME. Just dont wonder why its choppy if you dont have a nice system
