Everyone had different "fav" characters. My favs were Alice & Jenny. However, I would have rather seen a story of SURVIVING breast cancer. Erin Daniels had great chemistry with the entire cast and when she was gone, the show wasn't the same for many people, including myself. I have loved Karina Lombard since "Legends of the Fall," so I would have loved to have seen her return. As for Kate's weight, I don't see what that has to do with anything. She has always been skinny.

I didn't start watching TLW until Jan of 2008. I watched every single season in one week so that I could get caught up. I have never "whined," nor do I get on silly message boards to argue with angry, bitchy fans. I never judged Erin Daniels for how "white" she is any more than I would judge Pam Grier for how "black" she is. I felt a great deal of pain b/c I have lost a loved one to the hell that is cancer. To see any of the characters die from cancer would have hurt me equally.

Well, maybe the word "despise" is a little strong. It's more of a love-hate relationship, I think. For me, and I imagine a lot of other fans, it's her ego that makes her think she can do anything she wants to the show and mess with the characters and storylines and think she can get away with it because she's Ilene Chaiken. But she'll have redeemed herself in my eyes once Bette & Tina get back together :P
