IMO both have similar tone ... maybe even the same. Except Boss GT-8 has more switches :) So You can assign modulation effect, dist, and everything to each switch ... I can say GT-10 is more controlable device :)

I think ME-70 is for money :) cause You always want to buy "fresher" thing ... :)

The ME-70 Is the newest of them, so the effects aint as updated here, but they still have a very nice tone. but here you've got like 30 distortions and 46 Amp/preamps. i have the GT-8 my self, and i've tryed the Me-50.

My conclusion is that i love the GT series much more than ME, ME is for practice, and GT can be used on stage. i love my GT-8 i will definetly recommend it. but i ain't a pro either.

The blues sounds is a bit loose, but for rock and hard rock, it sure does it's job

Do you have an effects loop in your amp??? If you do, I would recommend using it for all of your effects. It makes 90% of your effects sound cleaner. The "pre-amp" function is the only thing that is debatable. If you have an amp that has a nice distortion sound, use that and just use what effects you want from the GT8. Great pedal. I use it all the time.

on the gt6 i use the harmonist effect.set the direct level at 0 and just use the harmonizer to detune it...ez but sounds kinda crappy, but it works...sry my english sucks...hope it can help a little bit...see ya

The secret to achieve a great tone with GT8 is to modify cab, distorsion and programm correctly the FX chain...If your model make a lot of noise you can use a noise I suggest to use the followinf fx-chain.. Overdrive-Pre-EQ-NS-Compressor­...it is very important to choose a proper cabinet set and mic... if you use the cabinet simulator dont forgot to use the lines-phones output mode....

Select Flanger for FX-1. The go to Variable under Assign. When you're at Quick Assign, select FX-1 On/Off. Then use the Parameter knobs to go to Mode. There you must select Normal. Then you need to make sure the CTL pedal isn't assigned for anything else (click the Ctl/Exp button under Assign. Then click it again to switch off the Ctl pedal). If you don't get it, just ask me on my channel.

So wrong!!... actually Ibanez uses very cheap woods even in high end models.. like the Universe that uses Asswood...sorry....basswood... and a lot of prestige models use V7 and V8 pickups... so they 're almost the same as cheaper ones.... but it is truth that actually Ibanez are more versatile than other brands...

First, you need 2 different amp models on the 2 channels (A and B). Then you push the on/off button of preamp/speaker. And then for Ch.mode, you select "dynamic". And then, with the "dynamic sense" (in the same menu), you choose how sensitive it is.

Well, first you need to have 2 channels (with complete different settings) on one patch, right? The easiest for me to explain is to first click "Exit". Then you push the button below the button for the "Amp type" (rotating knob under "Preamp/speaker"). Use the "Parameter" knobs to go to "Channel mode". There you must select "Dynamic mode" with the "Patch/value" knob. Then you're ready. If you have more questions or still don't get it, just ask me (you can also ask me on my channel).

Hi Alex,

You shouldnt have a problem, you can just set up the GT8 going into the input jack of the Marshall and it should sound fine, it will sound a little better if you have an effects loop, im not familiar with MG30, if you want the best amp for it get a JC120 both Rob and I use them, very clean and loud, 120 watts! Hope this helped!
