why is it such a sin to use one's pinky to pick strings? just curious...

it just seems to be the pinky but (don't know how to say it in english ;) ) the "strings" of the pinky and the

ring finger are together. you can't move the ring finger without moving the middlefinger or the pinky.

one of the biggest problems of classical pianists and composers.

Just as everyone else has said, I went to your site and was immediately able to understand the exercises. Everything is written in plain english for the beginner. In just the half hour or so I spent playing through the fingerstyle lessons I feel I've already improved my skill and relationship with my guitar by a lot. I've got to thank you. No other site has laid out these skills so simply.
