  • Griiiiiiiiiffiiiiiiiiithssssss!!!

  • i have a feeling it wont be guts that kills griffith .. but caska

  • Im crying right now, long live Guts!

  • Susumu Hirasawa is a genius, to be able to not only understand perfectly the atmosphere of a series but to add more to it, simply adds the icing to the cake that is Berserk.

  • EPIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Few songs make me cry.

  • This music should be the theme for the original Band of the Hawks (pre-eclips).

  • How the fuck did i miss this song? this is epic shit. God wouldnt it be awesome if Sign or Sign II made it inside the Berserk Movie soundtrack? Imagin Guts finally getting his revenge on Griffith. All bloodied and broken from the battle. His armor in ruins, his sword broken, But he stands up still. He stand tall. Then he shouts out loud and says. ARRGHHH GRIFFFFFITHHHH!

  • @BaggysAnime Turns out Griffith was just trying to bring peace to the world after all. Good job fucking it up Gutts.

  • @MisterCynic18 Sounds like the game Drakengard.

  • @MisterCynic18 we'll see. say that again in 10 years when we know more.

  • @MisterCynic18 yes...and with him all the monsters and magical beings, and have you seen what the other god hand do? Atleast it seems like Conrad brings the pest to some places...I dont know about the others. But yes so far it seems griffith does good for humanity, but lets see if it wont have a dark twist later. Anyways guts is out for revenge and I kind of like him being the one who tries to kill the messiahs.

  • @MisterCynic18 You obviously haven't read the 'lost chapter' of Berserk, 'God of the abyss (2)'. Miura removed it because it revealed too much of the story. In this chapter, it is revealed thet a strange being shaped like a giant heart with weird valves came into being from the collective consciousness of mankind. It tells Griffith during the eclipse that he can do what he likes with humanity, either lead them or destroy them.He got to the top... but by stepping on his friends

  • @TheNightwishViking I have. The heart thing is called the Idea of Evil (totally non-menacing name right?). It's not much of a lost chapter when the bulk of your fanbase talks about it constantly. Anyway, it never said anything of his intentions, just clarified that there isn't really a master plan. Griffith wants his kingdom, but no one knows what he'll do with it. So far he hasn't done anything outright evil (except for...you know...).

  • It would be a great twist if it turns out Griffith is indeed acting altruistically. At this point the fanbase is completely incapable of trusting him with the list of atrocities on his record, yet it's quite possible he's using his god hand status simply to better the world. So far all he's done beyond the sacrifice has brought hope to humanity.

I doubt Miura would let him get away with it though. I doubt WE'D let Miura get away with writing that. The rage would be devastating.

  • @MisterCynic18 Aye, and even if it turns out he is trying to better humanity.. fair enough, he sacrificed a few people so that he could make everyone else better for the rest of time. The cool thing is, he still hasn't managed to bring Guts down yet, and I suppose Griffith isn't at full power yet, as not all of the sacrifices are dead yet... Anyway, the point is, he did try to sacrifice Guts, even if it was for a greater good, the story of Guts slowly getting closer to killing him is amazing :-)

  • @TheNightwishViking Griffith never tried to kill Guts, unless you count the battle they when Guts left the Hawks. Griffith can bring his New Hawks and murder Guts on the spot, but hes a king now, why the fuck would he care about Guts?

  • @Akojiin The eclipse, he had his apostles try and kill Guts, and as the Skull Knight rode off with him, Griffith looks at Guts' body and reaches out his arm, and clenches his fist, as if to crush him, but nothing happens and Griffith seems puzzled. That was him trying to kill Guts, and also the reason he needs him dead.. To me, at least, it seems that Griffith isn't at full power till all the branded ones are dead :-) But of course, Griffith does let him live at the hill of swords

  • @TheNightwishViking I actually viewed this as Griffith still having a shred of humanity and hesitating to deal the killing blow - You'll notice that when he reaches out he seems to focus on Guts and then have second thoughts. We know that the apostles aren't entirely monstrous, (the Count from early in the manga choosing oblivion over sacrificing his daughter springs to mind), so the same may apply to Godhand, albeit to a lesser extent.

  • @MisterCynic18 remember the evangelion ending??? the whole show was just a mind bending epic troll job by writers in the end

  • So basically, Griffith made the mistake of wanting to lead the endless masses of the largely retarded race we call humanity in some strange game instead of having a badass friend like Guts by his side

  • @TheNightwishViking Well, technically he had more or less been broken by the time Guts found him again so...yeah. Doesn't excuse what he did to the original Hawks though, not even close, but hey..madness does do strange things to people and can turn them into monsters. And griffith, Oh boy does he need to be slain big-time.

  • This is what Chuck Norris listens too every morning while looking at him self in the mirror.

  • I'm convinced I'll be reading/watching/playing this series well into my 30's

  • y'know what makes this song extra awesome to me?

The fact that it sounds so triumphant, yet it's after what is really quite a humble victory. In another story this song would herald the hero destroying every last evil-doer, saving the world and getting the girl, yet all that happened to Guts was: He got a new weapon against the God Hand, Caska smiled at him, and he got a rest.

It sounds pitiful, but in the world of Guts, that's every birthday come at once, which to me makes this song awesome :)

  • I wish we could train to become so strong in real life.

  • No word to describe it, so epic

  • Holy crap, Berserk is so epic it has 100 likes and no dislikes (someone will press it in defiance but still wow.

  • More epic the epic itself.

  • He's a genius

  • If only they could get Hirasawa to do some work on the FF Versus score, it's supposed to be darker than the usual FF faire

  • Gah. This song is too perfect for Berserk. It encompasses everything and is filled with every single emotion that describes Berserk, to me.

It's dark and epic, thus befitting a grand struggle like Guts', but it hardly can be put to use for a single 'battle'. This song defines Guts' entire life, post-Eclipse, and carries with it the memories of better times with the Band of the Hawk. It sounds sorrowful, in a way, and yet filled with hope.

    ;_;

  • @PriestessOfTorm same to me. just...can't describe...
