i started dota style games with league of legends and am very interested in HoN however i dont really like the visuals of the game. It kind fo looks dark and grimy and hard to distinguish what is what. Also the mini map looks horrid. However I assume that the gameeplay is great and I would like to hears someones thoughts on the game.

@matKilla9801 I play most moba games. This game is distinctly harder than most of them and alot closer to DoTa. I like it. Though hard its not impossible to pick up. One word of warning the community are very hostile and quick to blame... even if its their fault which it usually is. Oh and the matching system is lamer than a dead donkey.

Should probably mention that precaching will use up a ton of ram, so if you don't have much to spare you probably shouldn't run it :p

Hey, I played Behemoth a few times and used Fissure to block creeps. Is that cheating, cuz there always is a lot of whining.

Disagree with creep blocking, yes you do get to level 2 faster, but if you allow enemy creeps within the tower range, chances are that in the next wave, your creeps will push more towards their tower. Therefore allowing your enemy to be closer to their tower and easier for them to last hit.

I used a Mod for this. It is no longer necessary as of last patch because HoN automatically shows your teammates what heroes you have.

I think you should put more short subtitles and headings for every point you want to mention, instead of talking with...ahh...few pauses in between. The newbs watching this vid will get tired after a while and not understand much.

Pretty much the same thing is happening to my lectures in sch, hope a guide to such a great game isnt like this!

I thought about adding some subtitles... but I maintain the position that since it's a video, you can always stop, pause or rewind it as you want, so if you think it's going to fast, you can just go back and hear it again. I will say that I made part 2 faster paced on purpose- as part 1 was more of general introduction where I had a lot of pauses.

Nice vid. One thing I found about creep blocking, is that is is so much easier to do if you hold down the v button. Give it a try!
