  • can I say Best Friends Forever ? :D

  • 1:20 thats some resident evil shit right there lol

  • You know I didnt want to give this series a chance until I saw the episode where

Batman meets the author of his parents death and is put to the test by the Spectre and Dr Fate, the episode was dark and gritty, I liked that. It was available luckily on

the superman Shazaam return of black adam dvd, and now I wanna check the show out, also rewatching the adam west batman made me appreciate it ALLOT. its a fun series and makes me yearn for the old comics :D

  • @Orbitdeathrants Not Dr Fate but The Phantom Stranger

  • what can blue beetle do?

  • @Mitchelveli Does whatever a blue beetle can.

Naw seriously the one here (I think he's the original....there may have been one before him too, from way back, but I can't remember) basically just has scientific gizmo's & crime fighting equipment. He's a skilled martial artist and acrobat too. He's a lot like Batman, to be honest. Now the newer one that is in the comic books now days has some sort of alien robot scarab thing, that becomes his costume and has powers. (I couldn't tell ya what all)

  • @frankensteinmoneymac The first Blue Beetle had a scarab that gave him powers, on his deathbed he asked Ted to take over but couldn't pass on the scarab. Ted could never get the scarab to work so used gizmos and training to fight crime.

He's a bit more lighthearted than Bats and his company is a lot smaller. He's more similar to Spider-Man especialy since he was created by Steve Ditko.

  • uppercuts and bodyslams are the only tool for crime fighting. lol

  • This is hilarious. Both of the totally geeking out about their respective gadgets.

  • Go die, Jaime. THIS is what the REAL Blue Beetle looks like!

  • Oh, would you two go on a honeymoon to the bahamas already?

  • the series just reminds me of a giant before the epic violance dc comic

  • lameoss!!!!!!!!

  • Haha I love this show.

  • YAY for geek speak!!! <3 Oh Ted! Who wouldn't love you? (well, other than Guy XD)

Him and batman were great buddies when he wasn't goofing about, I hope he comes back from the dead (and Bruce too) soon... or ever. as long as they come back! =]

  • Blue Beetle is voiced by Will Friedle who also Voice Seifer from KH2

  • and terry mcguiness from batman beyond

  • @KyuubiZanpakuto and Kyle Reyner

  • Ted Kord is awesome. Scientist superheroes FTW! Did anyone else notice the squid gang in this episode?

  • bader has a good batman voice! for as long as The Batman was on, i tried so hard to like romano's batman voice, but i never did. and i liked robin's voice even less. the only voice i actually really liked in that show was mr. freeze's. everyone else were annoying.

  • Agreed. I tried to love "The Batman" but couldn't. However, I love "Brave and the Bold" immensely.

  • @escottish140

I think 'The Batman' was trying to hard to be a newer, edgier version of 'Batman: The Animated Series' ... a noble effort to try and modernize the franchise, but it just didn't catch on ... Brave and the Bold is a tried and true formula from the earlier comics ... and though not for everyone, I think the creators realized there would still be a big fanbase for it ... sometimes a side of corn is just what ya need.

  • @theemrx: I didn't like THE BATMAN for the mere fact that it diverted too much from the comics. Yes, the style was edgy, but the stories were mediocre, the villains didn't have teeth, and the creators refused to take risks. (For example, I love the design of Mr. Freeze, but he just a thug in the series with little personality and no pathos, same with Catwoman, Penguin, etc.) It was bland. (cont.)

  • @theemrx: However, BRAVE AND BOLD is so well-written and, overall, well done. Yes, it's campy and humourous, but I think people don't realize that there's this undercurrent of seriousness. I'm amazed the censors allow this series to do, such as killing characters and characters you love, no less. Not even the 90s BTAS had the guts to show the Waynes being shot on screen. Even B'wana Beast's death in "Siege of Starros" episode is TRAGIC and moved me to tears.

  • @escottish140 The brave and the Bold did'nt give us that darkside of batman, silly catchphrases is just not batman's style i was highly dissapointed also i thought that the animation was to kiddish and childish this series deserves nothing more than a 5./10..The Batman was a big fail so is TBATB

  • @SponTavious: But that's Modern Age Batman and, if you're looking for Modern Age here, you'll be disappointed. TBATB Batman is Silver Age with Modern Age elements. To really appreciate Batman, I feel you need to open yourself to all his interpretations, to respect them, to (hopefully) endear yourself to them. Yes, this has a camp value; this is a series for 7-year-olds. But TBATB is still a very SERIOUS Batman, episodes like "The Big Chill" in particular show this. Give this series a chance.

  • @escottish140 Batman The Animated Series is the best !

  • @fadyadelnageeb: To compare this series to BTAS is unfair because, yes, it's the best. This series needs to be looked at as a completely different animal. It knows it can't compare to BTAS, so it did something different and it really does love the characters and the material. Because of this, BTBAB stands second place after BTAS.

  • @escottish140 Batman as a character is a bit boring. but you can't think of him as a character. You need to think of him as an Event because no matter what he'll never lose. its when other people especially the batman villans interact with that event that it becomes an interesting story.

  • @Snakebite105 I completely disagree. The character of Batman is always fascinating because he's really one of the most emotionally and psychological distrubed characters in comics, particularly for a character essentially unchanged since the Golden Age of its creation. He is, in fact, equally as interesting as his villains. You can't have great villains without a great hero for them to match up with them. That's just the simple fact of the matter.

  • @escottish140 I'd just rather see what happens to his 5 children then him.

  • @Snakebite105 Well, we did see Dick Grayson evolve into Disco Nightwing. Jason Todd...is up in the air, as he was mentioned by Bat-Mite. Because he's a fifth-dimensional being, we don't know if he dipped into this universe or another universe.

  • @escottish140 Right but as much as I like Dick I'm more interested in his other 4 children. Dick has overcome his problems years ago while the other 4 are still living with them.

  • @Snakebite105 I worry more about the five in the NEW 52 than in this show. XD

  • @escottish140 i haven't watched alot of the Batman but i like it for what it is and this show is no different:) thanks for being respectful about your opinion.

  • "...but they are a WHOLE lot more FUN." lol! I love this version of Batman. He actually ENJOYS kicking a**, and isn't afraid to admit it. lol

  • Another new cool Batman Animated...I always love every version of Batman Cartoon,...can't wait to buy the action figures...and I hope there's Blue Beetle Figure also

  • there is but i don't think they made a basic figure of him.

  • I hate The Batman. But that's the only animated series I don't like. TBATB is awesome, as is the original animated series...and there are toys available of TBATB, including a Blue Beetle one, but I believe he's only available with a vehicle playset.

  • guard reading mystery in space 1:51!!

  • Ted Kord definatly is the greatest Blue Beetle. Cann't wait for this episode.

  • Cool Ted Kord Blue Beetle in the Cartoon ! :)
