  • Very accurate Chuck Nagy windup. Respect.

  • i was born in 97 the year they should have one the world series. one out away from winning

  • it was jose mesa's fault

  • the indians need to win i ♥ cleveland and baseball i live 1 mile outside

  • im trying to create the 95 indians as well on mlb the show 11...would you be able to email me and give me some pointers on which batting and pitching styles to use and what pitches to give each pitcher? wicked_spades23@yahoo

  • Gotta love the Tribe.

  • This game is really fun

  • Oh yeah I predicted the Dodgers would win the game 5 to 4; Marilynn if you are reading this you know...

  • Thome going for 600 this year. Dennis Martinez had an even better stretch in his 30s. Orel and his scoreless streak in the awesome year of 1988 when Canseco did the 40/40 situation, and Gibson make my prediction of the Dodgers winning the first game of the series a reality =) Don't forget Dennis Eckersley, who at one point was better than Rivera; of course, Rivera has been better than Eck during the post season; ask the mentioned Gibson =)

  • cum

  • 2 people apparently got their butts kicked by the 90's Indians at one time or another

  • thome was my favorite player, did he play 3rd in 95 or was he always 1st?

  • Cool job... The Indians are on the rise again!

  • hahaha this is awesome man, lived in cleveland all my life, these were the good days the 1995 team was magical. good job gettin the positions and lineups right. cool shit right here brotha.

  • why inst Sandy Alomar behind the plate?

  • @PUCK271 Sandy alomar was hurt alot in 1995 and was given alotta days off, tony pena was a regular fill in, i wouldnt say they split time 50-50 but it was def 60-40. pena wasnt much of a hitter lol, but i remember in extra innings against the sox in the playoffs in 95 he hit a walkoff homerun, awesome night.

  • 1:44 hush your mouth

  • Do you play every game?

  • Was Sandy Alomar there?

  • the only thing that's missing is we should have the ring in 97

  • how did you do this?????? please reply, this is awesome

  • @SuperMinion1 I created pretty much the whole team, aside from the few who are actually in the game.

  • @HABI7A7 haha thats what i did with the '86 mets!

  • stupid trolls get a life stop commenting if you hate on cleveland teams

  • @FozokageAka4 GO PHILLIES !!!!!!

  • Indians suck

  • Comment removed

  • Is this the PS3 version?

  • @641Zero Yes it is.

  • my dad is eric plunk the baceball player

  • in my MLB 09 Jim Thome is in CWS. Not in Cleveland

  • @MrDangONe

this is the 95 team dumbass

  • @MrDangONe are you mentally retarded?

  • Your MLB 09 the Show is different than mine. hmmmm..........

  • @Dude148100 How so?

  • @HABI7A7 well, for the pitching, i am also the catcher. And, the strike box is ovalish for you, and mine is rectangular.

  • guess pitching are you serious you fucking puzzy put that shit on hall of fame and play the fucking game you fucking chump

  • cleveland were amazing, they had 8 people in the starting line up with 300 or above average. omar did not hit 300 but it doesnt matter considering he was one of the best short stops in MLB. then we had charles naggy, orel hershire, jose mesa, dennis martinez in their pitching staff and what not

  • YEAH KENNY!

  • Its not progressive field. Its Jacob's field. It will always be the Jake to me.

  • Is the 95 Indians the greatest team to not win a world series? They gotta be top 10. That line up was pretty sick.

  • @xhayesamaniax I actually think talent-wise, the 1999 team was better. They had Lofton, Vizquel, both Alomars, Fryman, Sexson, Thome, Justice, Ramirez and their pitching was better with Jaret Wright, Dave Burba, Bartolo Colon, and Nagy in the rotation and Steve Karsay and Ricardo Rincon in the bullpen. A lot of big names (at the time) there. They scored over 1,000 runs and won the division by 21 games.

  • Progressive Field? Really? I am no where close to an Indians fan and I have to say, Jacobs Field was a kick ass name with that stadium....Progressive Field...Kills it..

  • Progressive Field?! WTF?! If this is the supposed to be the 1995 Indians, why are they commentarying it as Progressive? Shouldn't it be Jacob's Field?!

  • "39 degrees at first pitch".

    Uh...duh?

  • Hard to believe the Indians didn't win the WS in the 90's, especially with all that talent. I feel sorry for Clevelanders

  • @EeVvAaNn3 Yea, it was a lot of fun to watch though.

  • @HABI7A7 It sure was!!! Id pick the 95 Indians to come back over Lebron anyday!!

  • @Kdubslugga I agree but personally i would take the 1980 browns offense and the 1986 Browns defense (with Don Rogers) in one package. That would be a sick team---The Kardiac Kids offense and the Dawg Defense

  • @HABI7A7 Game 7 of the 97 ws was probably the most entertaining ws game of all time. It's that perfect moment, that scenario that you'd set up as a kid playing ball: "Game seven. Extra Innings. Two outs...." Even though the Indians lost, it was a spectacular thing to be a part of, as a Clevelander.

  • @EeVvAaNn3 Wow! Look at that lineup. Just goes to show you, no matter how great the talent, Cleveland is cursed never to win ANY kind of sports championship ... EVER. Good thing LeBron left. Cleveland SUX! Woooooooo!!!

  • @EeVvAaNn3 bro you have no idea haha. us cleveland fans need to stick together no matter how hard it is.

  • this game is so sick..do they have this for the wii?

  • the 95 indians were amazing

  • I wish they would make a '91 or '95 version of the Braves

  • hey man, awesome job, don't listen to these nit-pickers. It's 10 mins of video and they have all these dumb questions about bullpen or bench guys (WTF???). still waiting for a game to be developed where you can play in classic stadiums no longer in existence, the ultimate retro.

  • @RetroBoyWontDie There are a few. I know the MLB 2K games in the mid 2000s had some. All Star Baseball 2000 or 2001 had some old parks too. MLB 10: The Show has a few retro parks, but you have to earn them by doing something ridiculous, or buying them for $5. While I don't like that, I could understand it, because I know some people would fork over the money for them. Unfortunately, as a poor college student, I don't even have enough for the game, let alone the stadiums.

  • WOW!

These graphics are unbelievable. This is really realistic! What gaming system is this?

  • Tony Pena was the starting catcher that year believe it or not. But Alomar still played a decent amount of games. And despite the Indians good team that year. They didn't start off 15-2. It wasn't till about late May that they began to take off with their record. They reached 50 wins by like the middle of June.

  • greatest team ever ... not to win it all

  • Ya thome played third

  • My favorite team of all time! Go Tribe! I loved Albert Belle. No Homo. He was awesome! One of the most underrated, and forgotten Homerun hitters of all time. I am still looking for a reasonably priced Belle Jersey. Theres a guy on Ebay that wants almost a hundred bucks for one. Im sure if I took a trip to Ohio, I could find one at some bargain bin for cheap.

  • Jim Thome at 3rd base?

  • HABI7A7 can you make one like this but the 1997 florida marlins ?????????

  • How do you not have Sandy Alomar catching, Thome at 1st and Travis Fryman at 3rd?

  • Because it's the 1995 Indians. Although I messed up and had Pena in with Nagy. But Thome was out 3rd baseman and we didn't have Fryman.

  • @HABI7A7 wE didnt get Fryman till '97 right? Lofton FTW!

  • @HABI7A7 Alomar was on the DL in 94 they no idea if he was gonna be ready to play in 95. And Fryman didnt come until 98

  • i remember the 95 indians! they helped the braves win the 95 world series. GO BRAVES!

  • haha..so do i..

  • The umpires helped them win. They gave quite a few inches off the plate for Maddux and Glavine, I'm surprised you didn't hear about that.

  • Ahh yes... The good ol' days...Miss my mid 90's Braves. lol!

  • @kingsmith14 That is IGNORANT, especially on an Indians video. Granted, I'm not a Tribe fan anymore, but there are a lot of rabid Tribe fans who are still bitter about the World Series loss to Atlanta in '95. I was four years old at the time, so you can imagine how I felt.

  • wheres part 2?

  • did u create thome and omar or just take them for the teams they are really on and put them on the tribe

  • @momogoblue manny too?

  • I just took them from the teams they were on.

  • I was injured this past summer, and I created players and edited players to make an all time greats roster for every team. Its beast playing franchise mode with it, because its a simulation of the best franchises of all time

  • Yeah...what Cleveland greats are those? Dolan has ruined this team. The only decent players we have are Sizemore (if he recovers from surgery) and Cabrera. With the pitching we have, we're going to get smacked around.

  • Shin-Soo Choo was good last year, and I like Michael Brantley.

  • Iknow what you might be thinking that the Indians wilnev return to to form but I really like the young guys that Clevland has for exampe David Huff. Left handed pitcher

  • could you put more parts to your video cause i would like tosee that and make more videos

  • There is about to be a new era of indians greats. I tell you all!

  • Some thing's should never change. Such as the Cleveland Indians stadium name. Jacobs Field was an awesome name.

  • @saveusfrom1983 I refuse to call it by that other name...

What a team this was. If it hadn't been for all the playoff experience the Braves had in '95, I think this was the Indians team to win it all.

  • @saveusfrom1983

anyone who's a serious fan still calls it "the jake"

  • @saveusfrom1983 the name change cursed them they cant say the magic is back at the jake

  • @saveusfrom1983 it illl always be the jake no matter what its official name is

  • @saveusfrom1983

I could not agree with you more. I just loved "The Jake". But,m guess we have to go with the flow. (rolling eyes)

  • is this on ps3 or ps2

  • ps3

  • im happy the tribe is 15-2,good luck for the playoffs

  • dude how do you get that highlighted area for where you want to swing?

is it only available on ps3?

  • Yea, MLB The Show is a Sony exclusive. As far as the highlighted area, it's in the options somewhere. I can't remember exactly where though. I think it's called the Plate Coverage Indicator or something like that.

  • good job on the team... you even had the correct lineup from back then... nice video!

  • how did you get the old players

  • I created them. Except for Eddie Murray, Jim Thome, Dave Winfield, Manny Ramirez, and Alan Embree. They're in the game.

  • how do you create alot of players and then put them all in one team?

  • It took a while. What I ended up doing was just editing the players in AA and AAA, so they were already on the Indians. Then I had to change the rosters for the 3 teams to put everyone in the MLB.

  • You're missing Eric Plunk.

  • No, I have him in the bullpen. Obviously this is only like a half an inning so he didn't make an appearance.

  • really nice job w/ the players, it'd be great if you upload part 2 :D

  • jim poole came to my school for career day

  • im still kind of new to this game so how do u do that

  • Lineup

Kenny Lofton (CF), Omar Vizquel (SS), Carlos Baerga (2B), Albert Belle (LF), Eddie Murray (DH), Jim Thome (3B), Paul Sorrento (1B), MANNY RAMIREZ (8th spot!) (RF), Sandy Alomar Jr. (C)

    Bench

Wayne Kirby, Rueben Amaro, Tony Pena, Alvaro Espinoza, Jesse Levis

    Pitching

Orel Hershiser, Charles Nagy, Dennis Martinez, Jim Poole, Paul Assenmacher, Ken Hill, Jose Mesa, Paul Shuey

    Those were from memory

  • Ramirez was 7th, Sorrento was 8th. Also, unfortunately I couldn't add anyone else to the team unless I wanted them to be in AA or AAA.

  • "Ramirez was 7th, Sorrento was 8th"

Thats not true. After they won the ALCS that year I had the paper taped to my bedroom door with the lineup right next to it.

Besides. I recall a game vs Toronto where Thome barely beat out a game ending double play and then Sorrento jacked one out of the park. Tribe won 8 to 7 I believe.

  • They may have changed the lineup around a little bit, but for the most part, at least during the regular season, Sorrento was 8th and Ramirez was 7th.

  • just for future reference, Nagy was known for his sinker. he was a very similar pitcher to jake westbrook. might want to add similar pitches to his attributes.

  • man, it looks so real!!!!

  • I loved your comment concerning people that can't write or spell calling poor Bush dumb. I would rather say he is slow. Play ball!

  • thanks for sharing...you could say that about any video on youtube, but thanks for picking mine, i appreciate it.

  • im thinking about getting this game if you had a rating could you plz tell me

  • definitely get it. its really deep, the graphics and gameplay are great. its just an all around good game

  • Good 'ole days full of lots of joy for us Cleveland fans!

  • Yes they were, the good ol days for the Tribe!

  • Oh I get it. You just created these players manually and just added them to the roster. Am I right?

  • yea. it took a long time and a few of them still look a little off, but overall i think they turned out pretty good. eventually im going to get around to doing a few other teams from that season

  • Does your bullpen have like Jose Mesa and all those other guys?

  • yea, i have pretty much everyone, minus a few players that i couldnt really find any pictures of like mark clark.

  • Oh, how do you find pictures of old players?

  • google, baseball cards, etc. you can find pretty much everyone, just a few of them have pretty generic names so its a little bit harder to find. plus i tried to find action pictures too, like pitchers in their windups, and hitters in their batting stances, and basically just pictures that show their accessories and stuff

  • So you just upload it into that game?

  • Wait, did you take a picture of the players using Eye-Toy?

  • no i just used the normal create-a-player feature. i just used the pictures i found as a comparison to make the players look as close as possible to what they actually look like

  • Oh Okay.

  • How are you able to unlock these teams? Also can you get them in the ps2 version?

  • One problem, Pena never caught for Nagy. WHERE'S ALOMAR???? Pena caught for Dnnnis Martinez

  • no where is sandy alomar jr

  • he is on the bench. i have pena starting, since he was their starting catcher in 95. but hes there, dont worry

  • Still have no idea how those Indians teams never won the world series...

What a murders row of hitters.

  • Two words. Mike Hargrove.

Some teams think that managers aren't that important. And the Indians are a perfect example of that flawed mentality.

  • No, if it was anything it was the lack of pitching...not Hargroves fault. That guy had to deal with some insane personalities and egos on those teams... Belle, Alomar, Vizquel, Rameriez, Tavarez, etc. it's mazing their weren't more blow ups in those locker rooms.

  • True, but it's the managers responsibility to keep all those egos in check and get them to be a team. Greats like Joe Torre, Terry Francona, and Tony La Russa were all able to do this. Hargrove was given the best team in baseball and wasn't able to get it done just like every Indians manager in the last 15 years.

  • Well, truth be told Francona was at wits end with Manny and basically told Epstein to get rid of him. Plus, those Red Sox teams were so roided...same for LaRussa's A's team

  • lack of pitching? they had the best ERA in the AL in 95.

  • not really, some of the contact options may be a little bit high, but not a lot, and the rest of the stats are pretty normal when compared to similar players.

  • 15 - 2 did you stack every bodies ratings jeez

  • Since when is Charles Nagy a "rookie pitcher"? Did you make these players from scratch?

  • yea most of them arent actually in the game, and unfortunately theres no create a "non-rookie" player. the only players that i didnt have to make were jim thome, omar vizquel, manny ramirez, dave winfield, eddie murray and alan embree. the rest i made
