lol i feel like a bit of a noob at this game coz my highest level guy is a human fist of stone lvl 56. i was trying to get full Lorethals coz i had it once and it had a good bonus. i managed to get it all except for the gloves.... i spent ages tryin to get em but no luck lol. so i just gave up on finding it and carryd on playing. And you know what? on broken world near the end boss i found them!!!!!!!!!!!! i was pretty happy.

I haven't played the game enough to know all of this, but I'm pretty sure that they are secret areas/quest. I remember the T-Rex scene from a quest from two people who were afraid of the jungle and retold their story of a giant monster chasing them around. Similar things probably go with the waterfall and other scenes.

The 'T-Rex' is actually called Garganturax. If you have Taar in your team and talk to a woman in a small hut near the Great Hall, she will tell you how she was pursued by the Garganturax (accompanied with a video showing the same scene as you saw in the trailer) and gives you a quest to kill it. Oh, and the waterfall is probably the one just outside of Eirulan. Enjoy the info =D

But it's also like 4 years old now, so don't expect some cutting edge graphics ;) but I can't help you on where to buy it though, look around at gameshops or if that doesn't work you should be able to buy it on the web ;) hope you enjoy it if you buy it!! i'm sure you will!! ;)

Yes, but what I have found from my friends, is that for some reason, when DSII is downloaded as a torrent, if it doesnt have a virus, it often crashes for no reason. Just quits out, doesnt save, and refuses to restart...

My advice is to legally buy it.

mmm, this game looks interesting, I'v played the first DS, I didnt get very far, only to the part where the dwarf joins your party at the mines, I got bored with it, the game just boiled down to "click enemy, wait till they die, then pick up everything, then spend 10 mins managing invatory, then repeat" this looks to be much for engadging, anyone have any opinions?

Well DS is not a game for everyone, its not that fast paced and there still is that click and wait for enemy to die...however the enemies are much tougher which should keep you occupied and make you feel more like a part of your own game. I think the story is better and the weapons are cooler, but there still is again a lot of inventory management but i kinda find that fun, making my team the best they can be :)  there are also better pets and a really cool power system which is fun to use.

The powers are fun because you can be extremely powerful which is always fun :) (great argument i know, powers are powerful...) The story is longer and the dungeons are more varied. I found that it is easier to stay with a core team on this one than on the last, also your main character is not the only one able to battle. There are various other features like rampage mode, which allows your teammates to attack any enemy they want, (not sure if that was in the original tho...)

I personally am not bored playing the game, and i remember that the first game did drag in places, but that will happen in a game of this length. It really has to be your genre to play. If you have free time and the will to sit and play, doing some dungeon crawling for a few hours a day, this game is great. O also there is a better pet system, the pets grow and become very strong. The game world is also less linear than the last one, while you can just travel straight through you can go back...

Go back and do other quests and such. I'm pretty sure there were no teleports in the original DS. In this one there are, which is great if you die because you simply respawn at the nearest town and can walk to get your junk, after teleporting near it. really saves on the walking and makes the game seem shorter. Plus it allows for lots of other side quests that you can do along the way, and places that you can go back to to finish said side quests. I think it is a great game, and worth a shot!

that dinosaur is from a quest... but is very small anyway is very fun this game... about the dragon... yes you have to kill a dragon in the game and many other enemies... i recommend that you get it...

ill be honest with you, this trailer is an overexxageration on the actual gameplay, but do not be discouraged, ive had this game for many years now and i keep comming back too it, its probably the best RPG adventure game ive ever played, if you can, try to completely emerse yourself into the character you play and enjoy the quest

You're Right, Seanhoeltje, Dungeon Siege is 'nothing' like Diablo, Diablo creates a very distinct dark atmosphere, meanwhile Dungeon Siege gives you different feels in different zones and gives you that adventuring thrill. Diablo II had too mutch to do with 'just' hitting the mobs, with just about 20+ quests, meanwhile Dungeon Siege has alltogether with every quest + Broken World expansion, over 7 acts if i'm correct, and less than a hundred quests alltogether.

haha, yeah, I trained all my characters to lvl 100 siege master/mistress instead, it took A LOT of time but it was worth it, and it's nice to say that without using the word "cheats" or "trainers", believe me, it's more fun to do it without cheating... Hi there! =D I'm a big fan of the DS franchise; hopefully these will answer your questions.

1. You can usually find DS1 and DS2 at a store or on Amazon at the least. Both are by no means no longer sold.

2. For DS1, you definitely don't need anything high-end (it came out several years ago), and that's basically the same for DS2. They are not huge on hardware, but some of the locations are absolutely beautiful.

3. For DS1, the main game is in single player. I *think* you can host your games on servers, play on a LAN or use your Gamespy ID for DS1, and I'm sure this is true for DS2. In multiplayer games, you'll be playing on a whole other map specifically made for multiple players on DS1 and the same map as single player on DS2.

4. It is! =D The guys even explode if you hit them hard enough.

If you want to purchase Dungeon Siege 1, I would get Legends of Aranna. It allows you to play through the main game with all the new features (Dungeon Siege 1 is included with LoA), and you get to play a whole new campaign when you're tired of that one. For Dungeon Siege 2, I would buy the Gold Edition (which has DS2 and the Broken World expansion), again for the extra features and for a painless transition from the old acts to the new BW act.

I should add that there's an exclusive Multiplayer Campaign to DS1 that comes with Legends of Arrana, the 'Utraean Peninsula", that you can host a lan game to play on your own or have friends help you out. You don't get party members in it though, so Importing a previous character is always good.
