Thank you! A friend of mine on Facebook posted a link to this on my page. I already have carpal tunnel syndrome, though -- what about people like me? Could the exercises still help? I noticed that your title says to help PREVENT it.
Wow, thanks, David! I am a pianist and piano professor and I am going to have all of my students do these, just so they can prevent future problems!! I will also being doing them. They really felt good on my wrists and hands!!
This is excellent stuff. Immediately effective. Virtually all musicians are prone to develop these problems. I just worked along with the video and my painful wrist is already more comfortable. Thank you!
I found and used these stretches for the first time 4 days ago. Since then I have been able to edit for a full day without having to switch to my left hand. I came back to say thanks!
Day One: First time. yeah, I can feel the tender muscles that needed stretching. I've already begun to have confidence this will work. (guitarist and computer user).
I really recommend buying ergonomic mousepads and keyboard slabs for your wrists, it really helped with my carpal tunnel (Carpal Tunnel was probably from too much WoW :C )
I have an old tennis injury in my right wrist that came from holding the racquet improperly for an entire game because of a deep cut in my palm. I can feel it between my thumb and index finger all the way into my wrist, and it bothers and prevents me from doing anything involving my wrist. I tried these exercises a few times, and they hurt like crazy, but once I was done my wrist felt considerably better already. Thank you so, so much for this video. I'm going to keep doing these every day.
I'm an artist/architect who either draws or uses mouse all day long. I have been having wrist pain for years when I work too much. It usually went away after resting for a few days, but for two days it's been unbearable. I found your video and just did the exercises, pain is lighter now and I'm sure it'll go away soon. Already feeling better. Thank you so much!
Wow, thanks for sharing this - recently been having some persistent pain in the right forearm - I think from using a mouse all day long over many years. I followed along with the video and immediately felt some relief from the pain!
Wow, thank you so much. I'm a guitarist who just started playing again after several years, and as a result my muscles aren't near as strong as they used to be. I've been looking for exercises like this for a while, and tonight my wrist was hurting rather badly - I did the first exercise as a warm-down and the pain went away almost instantly. This is bound to become part of my daily regimen now - again, thank you so much for posting this. Subscribed.
What is this trickery?! lol this is amaaaazing!! My hands, and myself thank you so very much for making this video! Really! My hands are SOOO much more relaxed and I can draw without feeling pain!! Thank you thank you thank you so very much <3
People don't realize that doing the right physical stretches as remedies to counter physical problems in the body is so simple because too many doctors are being paid to say "Here, take this, it'll help."
I was much more relieved when I started doing these exercises and feeling improvements rather than worrying about taking medicines that can cause stomach bleeding!
I had tendonitis for nearly two years and to this day these exercises are saving me lots of complications. Thank you so much!
Amazing video. Thank you. After only two days of these exercises I have experienced significant relief from my tendon issues. I play way too much guitar and this is really really helpful.
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing. After one exercise my two hands/wrists already feel different. I truly appreciate for caring and for taking time to share. You are such a talented artist. I also enjoy watching your instrumental music.
i had pain in my wrist/hand going all the way up to my elbow from playing computer games. i stopped playing games and the the pain never seemed to get better. i started doing these exercises. like others have stated i felt immediate relief. after 2 weeks of doing them 2 to 4 times a day, the pain has finally went away. i continue to keep stretching my tendons like this to make sure it wont come back.. dont know if it will work for everyone but it worked for me...
thank you for this video. as i was following the steps while watching your video, i was IMMEDIATELY relieved! i am not exaggerating, this is indeed very useful. :)
@preciouslove10 re you wrote "I was immediately relieved" Yes, I know what you mean... I also, felt immediate relief of pain. I am a violinist and a computer nerd and high risk for carpal tunnel. :(
@dbaseII me too, i am a computer nerd and it's a good thing we both found this video. :) i am doing the exercises now once in a while to release some tension and i take vitamin B as well, to relax my muscles. very helpful, you should try it too. :)
Wow, thanks for so much. I had been suffering with - what I was told was carpal tunnel syndrome, then I saw your video and started doing your exercises, within two days the pain in my hand started to subside and within a week - it was like a miracle. Today I went to see the Consultant and was told that my carpal tunnel is resolved. Why doesn't anyone tell you its this simple instead of giving painkillers and anti inflammatories for months on end. Thanks again
@DavidKuckhermann I agree. I had tendonitis that caused me to take leave from work for 2 months. If I had just known about these, I would have never had to do that.
@Alanakeech I sure hope this is true for me too! I will start these exercises tonight. I have had pain on the outside of my wrist for over two weeks. Had it xrayed thinking it might be fractured, never thought it could be carpal tunnel? I am just praying this will resolve it....piano teacher needs to work!
i think its due to the fact that every time they prescribe something they actually get a cut off what they sold..and drugs are drugs so some do get addicted and do go back for more which is sad since Exercises and healthy foods are bound to keep you in mint condition.
@Alanakeech Thanks so much for sharing your story. I feel so much more encouraged now. I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome only a few weeks ago (after having nerve conduction tests and an EMG). I want so badly to avoid surgery for it. Now I feel like I actually might be able to do so.
Thanks for it... my little finger has been asleep so much all the time... right after I did this, It felt better actually! I will remember these and do them later on too! :D
That third stretch is a miracle for me , i can't flick my wrist for 1 month without severe pain due to hyper-extention of my ligament from badminton , after that stretch im able to flick it without feeling that dreaded sharp pain finally .
@barby04 My tendonitis (I think it is from lifting weights in the gym) seems to be better but I wake up with pain and stiffness in my wrist especially when I move my thumb and little finger tips together. Seams to get less painful in daytime. My fear is that this problem will never go away until I have surgery.
will this work? i am a senior in highschool working hard on my portfolio for art college. all summer i did nothing but paint and draw.. so now i have tendonitis. how long does it take to heal? i need my right hand when school starts! and i need to finish more pieces for my portfolio..
doc said to rest it in this brace... but i cant resist taking it off to draw more. so is excersize best or is resting?
@barby04 I think mine is clearing up and with any luck I won't need surgery. I am praying I won't need surgery. I has been over 2 months since it started hurting so it is very scary.
What I don't understand is some people tell you to rest it and don't use it and keep it in a wrist brace but some people tell you to stretch it. Well it's either one or the other but it can't be both.
@mickey0667 i have the same problem. i have tendonitis and my hand is currently in a brace but my doctor said although I should rest it and take time off work it's not good to have it completely immobile. So I just take the brace off every now and then during the day. I plan on doing these exercises in a few days after I have recuperated a bit more so I don't stress the tendons/muscles too much. Hopefully that works. Just my two cents =]
@mickey0667It's good to keep it in a brace at night where you could hurt yourself through bad positioning and good to stretch it during the day - you don't want to be in a brace all day unless you are seriously injured. Stretching helps to relax the tendons - and eventually increase mobility. Also you aren't suppose to stretch it so much that it hurts - just enough to get a stretch until flexibility increases and you can stretch further. I'm learning...but that makes sense to me.
@mickey0667 I believe the idea is to rest as much as possible while the tendons are still inflamed, and to use these stretches once they have healed to prevent further damage.
Thanks so much for this video! Even after following along with this video and doing these stretches my right wrist that has been aching feels better! I'll keep doing these
hey i got a bump on the left side of the top of my wrist, im pretty sure it is from overuse because i was having wrist pains before, i am i landscaper so everyday i am repetitivly using my wrists, i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what i should do?
@whatugundo Yea it helps a lot stretching out before weight lifting. I noticed its easier now to weight lift and it does not hurt as much. It's getting better and better. Oh and you can do Wrist Curls and Reverse Wrist Curls to help strengthen you're wrist.
Awesome! I play piano and didn't have any pain, but i wanted to make sure i didn't get carpal tunnel from it anyway. I will do these stretches before and after i play now! Thanks!
Thank you, David. Over the last few months I've begun to take hand drumming more seriously and I've developed craps from my hands all the way to my shoulders. These stretches have helped a lot. Also, I've learned quite a bit from you other instructional videos :)
I only feel pain in my wrist when I push on something. I can no longer do pushups with flat hands instead I have to hold a dumbell like a handle or make a fist and I wear rings! What exercises can I do to help my wrist allow me to be flat handed for weight baring exercises...ie YOGA!!??!!
@Charley711away711 Try using wrist wraps to tighten your wrists, i've had a wrist tendoitist and it REALLY helped me get through it, eventhough it took 9 months to recover. I overloaded biceps and benchpress 2 times a week how dumb was I at that time.I only need them when i overload my last set, idk how i could go without them now. FUlly recovered :)
I think there is out there some stuff that people don't know about - Difference people doing difference things - Lethally I knows that in the neighborhood some Organize-Crime doing experiments on people without them knowing it and the reason I'm saying it it's because I never never in my life felt those symptoms - They killing us slowly-slowly - with Direct Energy Weapon(DEW) and with DIrect Radiations.
Great video. It has helped me a lot. I am suffering some of tendonitis syntoms ( my case is not very painfull, but it is enough to bother me day by day) since some months ago (I have had involuntary habbit to move my thumbs up and down repetitively, and I am trying to fix it). Thanks again xD
WOW, this is an excellent video. I recently developed tendinitis where my right forearm connects to my wrist from playing drums. These stretches feel wonderful, especially that last one. It targets exactly where the problem is. Thank you so much for posting this.
Thanks so much for these! I am a guitarist as well as a producer/engineer so i spend long hours every day on the computer/playing guitar causing me to have tendinitis. These work extremely well!
yay thanks for doing this, i am convinced i have carpal tunnel my right hand hurts constantly as i type/write for a good portion of the day, i always have to shake my hand a few times it gets tingly does anyone else experience this
Thank you so so much, I am suffering from it since last tuesday, it was so inflamed, i had ultra sound but i really have pain right where u showed it, i dont really know the exact term. I was scared that i did some serious damage to it but everything u explained i have it. Great video...ty
I get the worst pain in my right hand only, a sharp numbness and little jolts of feels like electricity. I play video games for a living and I only get this when I pick up my controller. I've changed my controllers 4 times thinking that was the problem but I think I've developed carpal tunnel.
Wow! I have to say these stretches work. I have recently got back into construction work ans I use a hammer all day and my right hand would be hard to make a fist, i could get to about 50% it would pause and then feel it snap into a fist, overnight not using it was more painful. I just did these stretches and it feels so great to make a fist without pain. I know I have long ways to go but this is a great start! Thanks for your video its now a fav for me
great advise, i have been walking on my hands a lot lately and my wrists were getting a lot of wear and tear, these exercises helped immediately after doing them. Awesome stuff
Thank you so much for this! I'm a court reporting student, currently at 180 wpm, and the nerves in my hands are getting worse. This will definitely help me!
I type at work for about 7 hours, and I believe I have Carpal Tunnel. I found your video today, I am going to keep doing these excersices. I am hoping this goes away.

thanks...seems like its around three weeks i have been experiencing fingers stiffness and aching, wrist pain, and now it is traveling up my forearms..??
i work as a nurse's aide in a hospital, and i am often on the heaviest floor...i have called sick three times in the last three weeks which is unlike me,,,,,i thought the pain probably would just go away, but seems worse ... anyhow, i am trying lots of exercises today from youtube...hope they will help...thanks again
Thanks a lot I was practicing on the drums for like 2 hours yesterday or so then wrist started hurting and now the pain reduced these stretches helped thanks A lot.

This sometimes can make my fingers cramp up and become harder to move at the normal pace that my songs are play.

@whatugundo Yea it helps a lot stretching out before weight lifting. I noticed its easier now to weight lift and it does not hurt as much. It's getting better and better. Oh and you can do Wrist Curls and Reverse Wrist Curls to help strengthen you're wrist.

Charley711away711 6 months ago
