Thanks, some great tips and an interesting video.
Although, at the moment I'm using the Mail Mascot to manage my email marketing as I find it much easier/faster. Definitely works well with the tips outlined in this video.

I understand the 'negative' approach can work, but this pitch makes him sound like a supercilious ass. Dealing with copious amounts of 'spam' and unsolicited email is a way of life now - no different to any other form of direct marketing.
Email is still probably the best channel for legitimate businesses to promote services and products etc, if done with best-practice in mind.
