its funny because this 'liberal attack add' made me want to vote for the Conservatives even more, and thats exactly what Im gonna do if we have that spring election!
@jmc350 exactly, "Lie, Liable, Liberal" their fake sob's who spend money on bullshit. all they do is rant on/ spend money on bullshit, imagine how much money would have been wasted on that national babysitting thing.............. essshhhhh. id rather have lower taxes and the government be cheap on bullshit.
What a bullshit ,we don't have any aircraft carrier since 1968 ,our last aircraft carrier was sale to the scrap about multi million modernization program such the steam catapult and new radars and hangar for new generation of aircraft.
Harper doesn't do interviews, and doesn't talk to the press. Decisions are made behind closed doors in secrecy without open debate.
He doesn't encourage women to get involved.
Harper used to be president of a professional organization with its number one agenda item to privatize health care (Coalition for Citizens, something like that).
Conservatives like to privatize things like tollroads (eg. ETR 407), close hospitals to create pressure, close schools, cancel various support systems.
So only wealthy lawyers from Quebec are Canadian (see the long list of previous PM's) ? I guess a guy who grows up in TO moves to Alberta, lives in a modest home supporting his family in a regular job, and a huge Hockey fan is just un-Canadian. Why can't people focus on the policies they don't like and stop this childish name calling. Just because you disagree with the man doesn't make him un-Canadian.
So laundering taxpayer's money in Quebec to fund Liberal Party election campaigns was perfectly acceptable was it? Pissing away over 1 billion dollars on a gun registry? How about Pierre Trudeau's government running the federal debt up from 15 billion dollars when he took office in 1968 to 175 billion dollars when he left office in 1983, which we are still paying for? Or the fact that he did everything in his power to keep property rights out of Canada's constitution? Now that is backstabbing!!
Further, with regard to Stephen Harper, he has presided over a minority government for two and a half years. If he was an un-Canadian, backstabbing, arrogant, dictator how come the opposition parties didn't pull the plug on his government a year ago? I guess he's un-Canadian, by your definition, since he is an Albertan, a Westerner, believes in free enterprise, and is not a closet Marxist from Quebec.
How exactly is Mr.Harper a threat to public health care? Are you aware that health care delivery is a provincial jurisdiction? The only role that the Federal government has in the program is funding through transfer payments. To date the amount of funding through those transfers have done nothing but increase over the past several years, they certainly have not been reduced. Unfortunately the health system is far from perfect you can't spend your way out of every problem.
There are many think tanks and organizations that contemplate and advocate various ideas for public policy, including health care, the N.C.C is only one of them. Some advocate more private care, others advocate making doctors government employees, expanding coverage, and spending more when health is the number one expense in every province. Are you implying that Canada's health system is without flaw? Is it so sacrosanct that no one can even discuss the idea of reforming the smallest detail?
I recognize that the health care system has flaws, absolutely. I freak out when I hear reports about cancer patient waiting times, or some surgeries not being available timely.
I've also seen reports of problems with the system in the US, so a private system is by no means a good solution automatically at all.
Discussing things is good, but recognize our advantages too.
I don't recognize the Canadian government in power now. They don't even kickback taxpayer money to their corporate buddies for future donations to their party. Shame on them.
Yep the liberal party was no friend to the Canadians in uniform. And no they have been decimated. Good.

He reduces the social qualities of Canada.
He's also a very big threat on public health care.

Harper was president of the National Citizens Coalition. They main agenda item was/is to privatize health care.
Harper also operates behind closed doors with the press kept away. He is in fact a dictator.
If he gets majority, he can do a lot of damage to our Canadian values.
