Flying Start. made the whole world sing they had no choice, like a shining pearl they sang in one voice. so far this is the only whole world song that I like. Much respect for launching Oldfield however.
Love Lol's Ming the Merciless outfit - KA would have glammed up well as Flash or more likely Louche Gordon. And Phil Collins on accordion - would he had stuck to this instrument instead of all that singing.
my friend used to see him & the girlfriends at restaurant somewhere in London often, told Kevin brought v. beautiful one each time.. not the money only makes you happy or rich.. he still spends rich life, i watched the french TV program. cheers!
Lol Coxhill used to wander around the South Bank playing for free. I remember seeing Kevin Ayers at the QEHall in early 70's and Mr. Coxhill was playing with and just walked off stage and up and down the aisle. Happy , unselfconcious , musical adventures , all gone into the past...
This song is just so painfully sweet! So beautiful! To my mind, it gives me a vision of sitting in a cafe minding your own business then a gorgeous woman suddenly walks in and sits right opposite you and all you can do is nothing but get lost in this woman's beauty :)
I think I know exactly what MY OPINION is thank you kindly. I didn't bash him as a person or as an artist. I didn't use his name because I don't know him. I cannot vouche for his brilliance yet.
I respect your right to say my opinion is crap. But, I still stand by my original comment. Even if he is a great player which I don't know him as I said earlier - that is still a very bland emotionless solo. It is also a little pitchy IMO. Please do me a favor and point me in the direction of an example of best work instead of attacking me. I am ALWAYS in the mood to discover greatness. Thanks in advance.

This video is absolutly wonderful. I know that Kevin is releasing a new CD on 03 September this year and thereafter I would love him to come to Glasgow as I've never seen him live, so daily, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he does return to Glasgow
Oh you rude banana!! this dude rocks. and how good is that live sound? Better than the vinyl? How many bands today can say that they sound better live than their MP3 going on in your creative ipod nano headshacks????
Coxhill used to busk in Leicester Square around this time. London was a better place for such things. May I recommend Kevin's first solo album "Joy Of A Toy" which is quintessentially English psych'. You won't tire of it!
You can hear some of Coxhill's busking on his first solo album, The Ear of the Beholder. His solo on "Red, Green, and You Blue" from the Shooting at the Moon album is a high point of civilization. Sadly, not much Lol on Youtube.
