lars is my favorite drummer and this whole interview shows why part of the reason why, he seems like a down to earth guy that you can have a good time with, and he also just dosent give a shit what you think of him or metallica, and in my eyes he's an awesome musician

I think that you have to watch some kind of monster to appreciate it i mean i always like it even before i watched it but hey speak to allot more after you watch it because well the film is all about the tension between them

That's what it's supposed to be about. It seemed to go deeper than anyone would think. It's about getting inside everyone's head. Every song of the album is about something, has a meaning and has a point. There is not a wasted line in the whole album. And I loved the "bridge" mini songs in almost every song. Those were a cool replacement for guitar solos actually.

Well I'll tell you a bit because you're new to Metallica.

James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich made Metallica.

First lead guitarist was Dave Mustaine, later kicked out, Kirk Hammett joined.

Bass Guitar: First Ron McGovney, later kicked. Then the almighty Cliff Burton joined, he died in 1986(R.I.P.), then Jason Newsted replaced him, Jason Newsted leaves band in 2001 because of personal reasons. Current bass player is Robert Trujillo.

Former band members are Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield.

Maybe im a strange guy but i love every MetallicA album, specially the St Anger. Because for me the Saint Anger its like...the ugly duck, ya everybody dissin him for being different, i dont know, i love it. DM its a damn cool album too, i like every song on Death Magnetic, specially The day that never comes and Judas Kiss.
