They devote so much energy toward their live performances. And "Fire" is my third favorite song off Strength In Numbers. It's a shame these guys aren't more popular - the album really suffered from horrid promotion. Hopefully with their next album they'll manage to kick the door wide open.

It's track number six on The Music's third album, Strength In Numbers. This video clip is a demo though and remains unreleased.

Well, it is a demo. His lyrics are much crisper and deliberate in the final album version. Less yelling. Overall, I prefer this version of Fire though, even if his lyrics are better on the final product.

It's already out in the UK and Japan, as well as selected retailers in Canada.

Note that the final version of Fire differs a bit from the demo clip you see here. The live version is pretty much this, with a slight drop in key.

This Album is the music highlight of my year. Been a fan since I first clapped eyes on them on MTV2 / VH1 singing The People. Got all three albums and caught them live at Newcastle Uni (June 19th). The set was perfect (except the ommision of Breakin) and Fire and Spike were truely awsome tracks. Welcome to the North was even better live than the cd version too. I truely hope these lads get some major recognition this year, they deserve it. "MUSIC...MUSIC.....MUSIC!!!"

Breakin' was the song that I first heard back on MTV when I still watched MTV. I used to listen to that song a lot. Then 2 days ago, I decided to see if they had some other stuff on youtube. And HOLY CRAP these guys rock! I can't believe I never listened to anything but breakin' before.

I caught them at the Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton last night - awesome! All of the new material is seriously well crafted and the new album is a big improvement over 2004's WTTN effort. These boys deserve to rule in 2008!

A US release hasn't been announced just yet. I think you'll be waiting a little while for a release and tour, to be honest. Probably Autumn/Winter 2008 at the earliest.

i witnessed the music peform the full version of this track in barnsley around feb/march 07, it sounded fcuking brilliant!. i remember another new track called 'symbol of hope' aswel. both massive tracks, cannot wait for the new album!.

As alluded to in the November interview on The Music's official Youtube Channel (now strangely removed - I have it backed up, but I'm waiting a bit to see if it gets re-uploaded...), after the Barnsley/Sheffield gigs, the band had a major re-think on how things would move forward and a result of that was a change in the writing process; Rob and Adam now write new material with Phil and Stu concentrating on what they do best - play!

The upshot of all of this is that the new material played over December, February and March - No Danger, Fire, Symbol of Hope and Innocent, may all make way for the 'newest' new stuff.

All going well, recording should be finished before Christmas. I wouldn't expect a release before April though, if I were to hazard a guess. Still though, each passing day takes us closer to the new album and I for one cannot wait!

The song hasn't been released yet. The latest on the new album is that the band are in the final stages of, or have already, selected a producer to begin recording with. It's likely that recording will take place in the UK this time.

Fire has been performed live four times, and the teaser video you see here is all that has been officially released of it.

There is no current set release date for the third album. The band hope to record in the Summer for an Autumn 2007 release. This is why they have said they cannot participate in any of the Summer music festivals.

At this point, I would think the ground work for the album is mostly complete; i.e. the writing, demos and so on.
