  • There are individuals with joint laxity who develop SI problems as well as people with traumatic injuries (lifting,MVA,etc). Not all SI pain is due to muscular imbalance. Also,Malton, why don't you list or state your credentials anywhere? You are an orthopedic physical therapist, yet your manner of professional dress almost seems to convey that of a doctor. I don't have a problem with the lab coat and tie,but why not state your credentials as opposed to leaving people to guess?

  • Good explaination of the complexity of this joint.

  • I suffer from SI joint paint and am on my way to recovery. This is a very good and detailed explanation of how this pain occurs. I have been walking with a limp for six months because a lot of doctors think that ice and Aleeve will fix all joint pain. My chiropractor took an xray and after a month diagnosed me with SI joint dysfunction.

Some of the best things I have done for my pain is sleeping on my side with a pillow between my legs and tightly squeezing a basketball with my knees.
