Yes...the director "doesn't know that she doesn't know!". A choir is ONLY as good as its director, and this director doesn't understand boychoir tone nor proper boychoir repertoire.
It is not the fault of the children, but this group is not ready to perform. I fault the musical director who apparently doesn't know the difference. The boychoir should stop traveling and performing and master their repertoire. The fact is plain, a new director is needed.
My choir did this song once. When we preformed with some college and high school choirs, we revived several comments on how much better we were then all of the older ones. We were the youngest choir, I was only in third grade then.
