I am a 3rd Generation Mexican-American and I speak Fluent Spanish but that's because I read a lot in Spanish, My siblings on the other hand speak limited Spanish but we are 3rd Generation my nieces and nephews also speak limited spanish they are 4th Generation and yet they are very proud of their Mexican Roots, just because you dont speak Spanish dosent mean your not proud!!!!

the sad thing about mexican americans they forget were they come from and sometimes your people is the same people that hate you more i am born in the united states but i live in mexico almost all my life and i came back to E.U.A not speaking english at all about 10 years ago and i am still learning and i find out that my own people well some of my people they dont like speak spanish or they hate spanish they treat you like if you were diferent and they were white and that is realy sad

@bmjxtreme Thing is, many mexicans are racist towards other mexicans, thats total fking bull shit. sometimes i feel more comfortable talking to white or black ppl than to ohter mexicans, some mexicans just have complete disregard for their culture, and forgot their roots.It's shameful and sad. we are the second largest population group but we seem to be different groups among ourselves.
