i don't know about y'all. but sometimes on videos i purposely turn down the video's quality. back when lyric quality was good and musical quality was worse. instead of the opposite of today. Peace to all those who love beautiful songs like this.
music is a feeling n if u lik nas your real u listen to new music u aint real at all im fucking 14 n i am 1 of they few ppl my age that kow wat REAL rape is n this is it the truth if u ask me who my favorite poet is id say nas cuz hes real speakin the truth in every verse every sentence every word thats all u hear is the truth
great flow ....you could tell the 90's energy crossing over to 2002.... now you will be hard pressed to find music of this quality . Nas paints a picture with his flow ...its like watching a mental movie .....
Ppl need to stop arguing about who is better than the other and just appreciate everyone for what they do. Pac could never do what Nas did and vice versa. They both had different stories to tell from different perspectives. Thats like sayin Soulja Boy is wack...If he was wack he wouldn't be rich. He represents a following of ppl that indentify with what he says. If u cant relate, that dont mean u gotta hate...
Just cause Soulja Boy is successful doesn't mean his music is good. Vanilla Ice got rich and the backstreet boys made a ton of money. The list could go on and on. The truth is the masses buy all kinds of garbage. I am not saying Soulja Boy sucks because the only song I have ever heard of him is superman, but that song is garbage. There is plenty of garbage to go around though. I don't blame the artist I blame the people who buy and glorify people who have no talent.
CORRECT. But you have missed out some UK rappers who can (nearly) hang with this select few ...... Chester P, Jehst, Braintax, Dr Syntax. And dont 4get US .... Big Pun, Necro, ill Bill, Jedi Mind Tricks
agreed, i honestly beleive all the hype around their deaths is what made them so big and remembered .. don't get me wrong biggy was my fav artist at one stage but his beats sound old compared to todays standards
@gdinethatruth90 that's your opinion b, not fact or truth for that matter, b/c for me nobody spits what a nigga is going or went through like Esco does, sometimes I listen this nigga nd it's like he plagraizied parts of my life, that's y I always copp when sun drops
@aapopaa maybe biggie, but pac is above nas, not as good when it comes to lyrical complexity but pacs music was alot more personal and powerful, also switchs his flow up alot, something nas never does
@aapopaa both of u are partly right remember nas would not be who he is without biggiesame for eminem they might have not been on there level as u put it but biggie smalls and tupac shakur were the most influential rappers ever no real rapper can say they wernt influenced by them dont get me wrong i love nas and rakim and gangstarr but they cudnt do what they wich is flow without pac and bigs help still they were all awsome rappers and we all need to chill and jam to these good rap songs
Nas was the king of NY before Biggie, I don't actually think that Nas needed Biggie in any way to be honest.
Rakim and Nas I think influenced a lot of people as well. Like if it wasn't for the the Ready to Die album Biggie wouldn't be where he was. 'Cause it was underground with the right amount of commercialism, if you get what I mean. While Illmatic was underground. Both Cd's reached success. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
@aapopaa with all due respect to all 5 of the artists you named, none of them were ever on nas' level. i love rakim and guru but i cannot agree that they were near nas. i'll even be so bold as to say that lupe fiasco is the closest to the god, nasir. this is all just my opinion; music is obviously a completely subjective thing.
@iseankimi ithink you are right. rakim was a pioneer but nas truly refined his style and made it his own. i agree about lupe too, his first two albums are classics and its a shame he is not more renowned.
i don't know about y'all. but sometimes on videos i purposely turn down the video's quality. back when lyric quality was good and musical quality was worse. instead of the opposite of today. Peace to all those who love beautiful songs like this.
