  • i don't know about y'all. but sometimes on videos i purposely turn down the video's quality. back when lyric quality was good and musical quality was worse. instead of the opposite of today. Peace to all those who love beautiful songs like this.

  • A true Artist... Nas is a true student of the art form.. He doesnt care about fame and money as much as being original and unique... Best ever

  • I like how he's one of the few rappers to appreciate his religion

  • @chroniconon i still bump biggie to this day. i could care less if he got blasted, so did big l and no one cares bout him

  • the song makes me think of good and sad memories iam cabout to cry

  • Its no denying how beautiful this song is.

  • music is a feeling n if u lik nas your real u listen to new music u aint real at all im fucking 14 n i am 1 of they few ppl my age that kow wat REAL rape is n this is it the truth if u ask me who my favorite poet is id say nas cuz hes real speakin the truth in every verse every sentence every word thats all u hear is the truth

  • @joeythemanduran lmfaoo fix your grammar youngster.

  • I often think this is Nas' best song ever. just an awesome track.

  • @realpolodon i agree

  • it don't get no better than this

  • awesome man real musiq nas is a legend

  • idk what you niggas think but to me doo rags was a bonus track at the end of illmatic lol

  • great song,

mais dicave la touche à 10 secondes.

  • @mrmizz07 i am lol

  • and this was jus a mixtape i believe, and he still got mad dough off it

  • this ish is tru

  • This was my song back then

  • I wanna kiss his mole. What a lyricist.

  • @SuperhptPINKYx3 i rreally hope ur a girl lol saying that ish

  • can't wait for lost tape 2 but i don't know if he can top the first one i hope he does though we need more quality muzik..

  • Nas stays with culture of hip hop I like him!

  • this is the shit

  • i cannot stop listening to this, i cant seem to find a better song, and i dont think i can

  • great flow ....you could tell the 90's energy crossing over to 2002.... now you will be hard pressed to find music of this quality . Nas paints a picture with his flow ...its like watching a mental movie .....

  • Nas, GZA , Killah Priest, & Canibus 2 name a few r the greatest lyricists of our time.

  • @DoRag8 howcan u not mention jay?smh

  • @toneone16 Every one he named, but Killah Preist maybe, are better lyricists than Jay.

  • Ppl need to stop arguing about who is better than the other and just appreciate everyone for what they do. Pac could never do what Nas did and vice versa. They both had different stories to tell from different perspectives. Thats like sayin Soulja Boy is wack...If he was wack he wouldn't be rich. He represents a following of ppl that indentify with what he says. If u cant relate, that dont mean u gotta hate...

  • @straypome soulja boy is a pile of shit sorry to break it to u

  • @straypome

Just cause Soulja Boy is successful doesn't mean his music is good. Vanilla Ice got rich and the backstreet boys made a ton of money. The list could go on and on. The truth is the masses buy all kinds of garbage. I am not saying Soulja Boy sucks because the only song I have ever heard of him is superman, but that song is garbage. There is plenty of garbage to go around though. I don't blame the artist I blame the people who buy and glorify people who have no talent.

  • hip hop legend!!!

  • doo rags...fitted caps

  • u think NAs is better then Pac? im asking because nas n pac r both great to me

  • i think nas better

  • i think nas is better lyricaly. pac go hard every track but nas lyrics seem deeper in a way to me. thats my opinion

  • i bet that the day Nas passes away, there will be more caos than Biggie and Pac did...

  • ofcourse.. nas is the best rapper of all time... even with all his fame, he's still under-rated..!!!!!!!!!

  • i never cried wen pac died but i kno i will wen nas ddoes

  • this ain't gangsta rapp it's reflective, people make assumptions without listening to the total messsage... true ignorance

  • its cuz east coast rappers rap faster south coast predominatly rap slower eg ti

  • hes the fucking world for what is it hes reall nigga

  • Nas, Big L, Eminem, Pac, Biggie, Cornmega (the realness is up there with illmatic), AZ, Immortal Technique, Wu-Tang, rap isnt dead, you just lost

  • I'll have to check out cornmega if he can hang with nas

  • "rap isnt dead, you just lost"..

ha dats good one!,,i got to start using that one.lol

  • CORRECT. But you have missed out some UK rappers who can (nearly) hang with this select few ...... Chester P, Jehst, Braintax, Dr Syntax. And dont 4get US .... Big Pun, Necro, ill Bill, Jedi Mind Tricks

  • cormega(not cornmega) is good but u hypin him 2 hard. the realness aint shit compared 2 illmatic

  • A great Track

    Nas is a beat

Real Rap is whats its about

  • exactly!!!.......beautiful track

  • ***** BEAUTIFUL SONG *****

  • nas is my best hip hop artist .

  • Pac was unique, you cant argue with that. He had something Nas didnt have, though Nas still is the bomb dont get me wrong.

  • Nas, Rakim and Gangstarr Really. Pac nor biggie were at this level..

  • agreed, i honestly beleive all the hype around their deaths is what made them so big and remembered .. don't get me wrong biggy was my fav artist at one stage but his beats sound old compared to todays standards

  • That's because his beats are old

  • na his beats are timeless

  • @chroniconon lyrically nas had pac, but rapping about what your living pac had him.

  • @gdinethatruth90 that's your opinion b, not fact or truth for that matter, b/c for me nobody spits what a nigga is going or went through like Esco does, sometimes I listen this nigga nd it's like he plagraizied parts of my life, that's y I always copp when sun drops

  • @aapopaa i dont know what your smokin but if u tryna say pac wasnt deep it might as well be crack

  • @aapopaa maybe biggie, but pac is above nas, not as good when it comes to lyrical complexity but pacs music was alot more personal and powerful, also switchs his flow up alot, something nas never does

  • @aapopaa both of u are partly right remember nas would not be who he is without biggiesame for eminem they might have not been on there level as u put it but biggie smalls and tupac shakur were the most influential rappers ever no real rapper can say they wernt influenced by them dont get me wrong i love nas and rakim and gangstarr but they cudnt do what they wich is flow without pac and bigs help still they were all awsome rappers and we all need to chill and jam to these good rap songs

  • @stonepown

Nas was the king of NY before Biggie, I don't actually think that Nas needed Biggie in any way to be honest.

Rakim and Nas I think influenced a lot of people as well. Like if it wasn't for the the Ready to Die album Biggie wouldn't be where he was. 'Cause it was underground with the right amount of commercialism, if you get what I mean. While Illmatic was underground. Both Cd's reached success. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

  • @SeboHyatt no i guess your right i dont know much bout biggie i prefer pac

  • @aapopaa with all due respect to all 5 of the artists you named, none of them were ever on nas' level. i love rakim and guru but i cannot agree that they were near nas. i'll even be so bold as to say that lupe fiasco is the closest to the god, nasir. this is all just my opinion; music is obviously a completely subjective thing.

  • @iseankimi ithink you are right. rakim was a pioneer but nas truly refined his style and made it his own. i agree about lupe too, his first two albums are classics and its a shame he is not more renowned.

  • @aapopaa Wow man, rakim had nuthin on pac, blew big outta the water but not pac, top 3, nas pac rakim

  • Pac, Nas, Big and Big L forever untouched

  • Best Cd made ever im proud to say i own it!!!

  • Absolutely what hip-hop should be!!!!
