  • The earliest stringed instruments were mostly plucked. Bowed instruments originated in the equestrian cultures of Central Asia, They were probably the world’s earliest fiddlers. Their two-stringed upright fiddles were strung with horsehair strings, played with horsehair bows, and often feature a carved horse’s head at the end of the neck. The violins, violas, and cellos we play today, and whose bows are still strung with horsehair.

  • such as anya:anne:mother, atya:ata:father, tenger:tengiz:sea, szakal:sakal:beard, alma:elma(old turc. alma):apple, sador:cadir:tent, sok:cok:much, many among too many others, conjugation endings for each person in the past tense, ARE HARDLY influences passed on in mere 173 years of Ottoman rule in the area.

  • Pranhu, DJpianissimo's reference to similarities may best be understood as those concerning linguistic origins and very likely common genetic beginnings, and NOT of traditional cultural or historical religious and ideological stance. Personal pronouns, absence of gender markings either of nouns or personal pronouns, aglutination, the vowel harmony, common vocabulary that was not adopted even by the most loyal subjects elsewhere,

  • whats the difference betweeen turkish and arabic music?they use the same scale but...

  • Turkish music has elements from Central Asia, Mongolia, China and India...Turks actually ruled in all these regions at one time or another and picked up (and as well as influenced)many cultural traits. Some people have difficulty understanding the Turks because of their complex history and rich cultural background.

  • @mustafaarat good analysis, i can hear the subtle chinese elements. thank you

Scales , modes , rhythmic structures, melodic developments are totaly different than the arabic music.
