Great video - I miss Kelly Hogan and the Jody Grind - I went and saw them every chance I got. Did I spot Deacon Lunchbox in this video? He was a great guy !
i lived on the other side of the wall in 221A Caroll St./Blvd from Chan Marshall;Robert Hayes and Witt(?)AKA the nicest guy in the history of the world.
in the year of the goat 1991...i remember the Easter Robert and Deacon died like it was yesterday...Witt died.i never heard how....Kelly is my FB friend...Neko has a really great band.
pretty cool. new to me, but very enjoyable still. singer has a grace slick thing going on. guitar is an almost surfer type riffage with the whole dick dale thing going on. pretty cool stuff, very original. what's the deal with so many bands using the same name?
great seeing my old pal Robert Hayes R.I.P. He was the bass player in our teenage punk band in Atlanta. He was so talented. I am glad I was able to return to Atlanta to see the Jody Grind play before Robert moved on to the next life.
I saw Kelly Hogan on the Neko Case Tour after Case released "Blacklisted" - Kelly was one of two ladies singing harmonies and she was, of course, AWESOME, and had her own solos as well. I love her voice!
I loved this band! What a surreal experience it was to see Kelly singing on one side of the Clermont Lounge, with that amazing voice, while Blondie and her cohorts were stripping onstage on the other side.
I've waited a loooong time for this video to show up on here. Kelly Hogan is one of the coolest chicks I have ever met. I believe that was Deacon Lunchbox with the cigar halfway through. Hopefully the "One Mans Trash..."
When we did our version of this video, which you can see on my channel, I swear we had not seen this video before. It is uncanny how similar our theme was. In any case, Kelly Hogan is one of the sweetest people I have ever met, and one of the greatest voices I have ever heard. I will post our interview with the Jody Grind again on my channel in the next couple weeks. Thanks for posting this version!

One of my desert island CDs - and one of the greatest bands of all time. A tragic loss to the music scene in Atlanta back in the day.

I did the audio on this video. What a great bunch of people. This is so old but we did so many video's before the tragic accident.

One of my all time favorite bands. I recently went and saw Neko Case just to see Kelly Hogan sing. She is amazing.

NormN354 THANK YOU SO MUCH. The Jody Grind came to Charlotte and played the Milestone in '90 and it was so passionate & powerful!
