I bet that if SH had a main character that was black there would be so much insult. Because people feel a black character wouldn't fit at all. This game looks promising hopefully it isn't just slated for a console as most games these days tend to be for and if it is coming to PC (which I hope) it's not one full of bugs and glitches rushed from development. I've played Silent Hill games and they tend to have a lot of flaws though the games do tend to improve graphically the controls of the games tend be stiff and awkward perhaps they'll finally resolve this flaw in the game preferably this is not just another console game.

@Ukaran People have their own personal fears, but generally speaking, the unknown tends to be scarier than something at face value, at least in terms of building dread. A strange shuffling in the dark is far more scary for me than staring at some blood-drenched monster in a brightly lit room.

Yes, something you can't see in the dark is scary. But when you see it, if you still cannot identify it, it becomes nothing more than a misteryous abstract object to you. And that's not scary IMO.
