I love and respect the pilots of the first/second ww, but I dislike the fact that no one gives respect to modern pilots. It's not as easy as locking on and shooting. They still use the same combat tactics, you have to endure higher Gs, you need to learn to dodge missiles, and in the end you need energy to get the upper hand in a dogfight. When it comes to stealth planes, that's a whole new story. old pilots were more experienced and had it harder, but respect the pilots that work hard today

This is amazing footage, but like the first poster - all I could think of with every explosion was that one or more human beings were being blown to pieces....:( I understand that these pilots were aces and probably did most to win the war, but I had no idea there were so many of these clips out there that people actually enjoyed watching!
I couldn't agree more. This is amazing footage and very interesting...but why ruin something fascinating with shit music? Atleast put on something orchestrated or a little bit more dramatic. Other than music choice, the footage was still fantastic so props for finding that.
Those who fought in dogfights in WW2 are true flight aces if you compare them with today's pilots they just have to lock on with their hellfire missiles and the job's done (9 of 10 times)
Respect and credits to all the brave WW2 pilots. Nevertheless, the Sky has never been as dangerous as nowdays. The same technical improvement that makes a combat jet deadlier today is what makes the threats equally deadly because used by the opponent as well. Pilot training and profeciency required level today is 100 times higher than before.

this summer i went swimming with some friends, when i saw an 2 old mustangs flying very low over our heads, 65 years ago we would have run for our lives... :/

This is amazing footage, but like the first poster - all I could think of with every explosion was that one or more human beings were being blown to pieces....:( I understand that these pilots were aces and probably did most to win the war, but I had no idea there were so many of these clips out there that people actually enjoyed watching!

I couldn't agree more. This is amazing footage and very interesting...but why ruin something fascinating with shit music? Atleast put on something orchestrated or a little bit more dramatic. Other than music choice, the footage was still fantastic so props for finding that.

Those who fought in dogfights in WW2 are true flight aces if you compare them with today's pilots they just have to lock on with their hellfire missiles and the job's done (9 of 10 times)

Respect and credits to all the brave WW2 pilots. Nevertheless, the Sky has never been as dangerous as nowdays. The same technical improvement that makes a combat jet deadlier today is what makes the threats equally deadly because used by the opponent as well. Pilot training and profeciency required level today is 100 times higher than before.
