@THEFORDGEARHEAD No. Savages are shit, they break all the time. I bash my T-maxx to hell and it has NEVER BROKE. Stop being such an ass and sell your piece of junk and get off my friggin youtube.
Just out of curiosity, Do enjoy the slash? I'm looking to get an electric truck that's quick and has good runtime with the batteries. I had an Elec. rustler and it was absolute rubbish. The servos went, and the runtime was about 15 min with a 2400. I sold it lol
Broke the same piece after slamming my Jato 2.5 into a post the holds up one of the rig trailers. The whole front end was mutilated. Now it's nearly all aluminum and running a 2.5r out of a revo.
@johnwarnerrox the steering bell crank is by far the weakest part on the cars, but i sold this truck and ended up getting the slash 4x4 and i only have one nitro now, the mgt 8.0

@johnwarnerrox i like it a lot, i love my rustler and your not going to get long runtimes with a small 2400mah battery, u need to get 4000mah battery at least.
@ABrick2009 thanks, i ended up selling this truck all together because the engine was shot, i liked this truck a lot, and this was one of the rare times that it broke. I was originally debating on weather to get a savage or baja, but i did not want another nitro because i have a mgt 8.0, so i went with the new slash 4x4 for variety
they are not, a t-maxx 3.3 is $380-390, a mgt 4.6 is $410-230 and a mgt 8.0 is $500-520. i have a mgt 8.0, it is a great truck, but the engine is giving me problems with tuning and air leaks, where the t-maxx has never given me any problems. But i love both trucks
I stiffen parts on my heli with thread and super glue. It works really well and maintains it's absorbing properties. Just wrap the part in sewing thread and soak the thread with CA glue.
idk about that, i got this truck because it is a good first truck. i got an mgt though, and love it. i think the mgt is better than the savage, but it is all personal preference.
How do you like the nitro's as opposed to electric's. They seem really fun, but im sure your limited to where and when you can drive with the noise. On the other hand, punching the throttle with a nitro and hearing the engine roar is probobly pretty cool too. Nice Vid and Music
they are different in the sense that nitro has more power than electric, but electric is faster. Nitro is a ton of fun but you have to clean and take care of your nitro car unlike electric.
dude what are you saying? of course you have to clean and take care of electric cars aswell. you should clean and take care of anything you own really!

all is see is tmaxx always breaking.
I've put my savage through hell and i havent broke a thing
And your right, if you upgrade to aluminum, the next weakest link will break, so if the steering linkage is aluminum, you may blow the servo
Good luck m8

youll be better pff with aluminum steering.Thts wat i have and never had a prob and i wrecked it so many times in the front and never broke or bent!
tmaxxboy440 2 years ago
too late, i fixed it, it was my bell crank snapped. If i go aluminum i will get a servo saver so i don't break my steering servo

I have both nitros and electrics now dont get me wrong i love the nitros to death but you can always depend on the electric to work.
surferKid41 2 years ago
thats true, because nitros sometimes give u trouble if they don't want to start

thanks, took many trips to the hobby store on this break, kept forgetting to buy parts because i needed a new bell crank and bearing.
jmey107 2 years ago
stick with the plastic weak link cheap if you go alum you move the link to next spot thats your servo so choice is yours
cool little vid man
