Letterman isn't neccasarily homophobic. He's just not that secure with his heterosexuality that he can take kisses or hugs or flirt with another man. Most, if not all heterosexuals are uncomfortable with a member of the same sex flirting are hitting on them, thats just the way male heterosexuality works, by being disgusted by the same sex. Now most of them don't take it personally if a gay or bi guy hits on them, so its not problem. Word! I'm so glad that James voted No on 8, that I'm going to see every one of his movies from now on. I was going to see Milk anyway, but he's making me even more enthusiastic about it. I thought it was quite good and will probably encourage some people to see the film who otherwise wouldn't. It's the Tonight Show; the dialogue is supposed to be funny. To me, Letterman did a good job of engaging the audience, making the conversation amusing, and being respectful of the film and its content. Not any easy task!

I think it is wonderful that Hollywood will watch another "epic" Gay movie, and generally speaking, straight men may think of gay men as comrades and equals, but this is the response that u get when sexual relations w/ another man is brought up.
