It's a pity that the footy world didn't get to enjoy all that the NT has had to offer.

Some chose to stay at home. And that was a bonus for us. Some ventured and came back. Some, obviously became household names in footy circles.

But there are a bunch of blokes that, if things were just right, would be held as legends in the game today.

Lance White, Murray Liddle, D & C Dunn, Etrick Coulthard, Joe Sarib, the other Long and Motlop Brothers, David Ross, etc. etc.

As a Territorian, all I can say is enjoy the offerings from the NT that you got to see.

The Riolis, Longs, Dunns, Weetras, Whites, Motlops, Wanganeens, Hamptons, Liddles, McLeods, etc, etc.

Some of them played in the AFL and amazed you. Most of them stayed at home and amazed us.

If the State of Origin concept gets another wind, despite the AFL's desire to kill it, I'm sure an NT team will prove itself to be above what its population should suggest.

I say bring it on.
