one very minor thing i noticed about the 60gb compared to the original 20gb is that the harddrive on the 60gb isnt chrome where the 20gb is. Again VERY minor and i could care less really but i thought i would point that out...

No where near as much, In fact I have only hear d of that has? I bought my new 360 about six weeks ago and the guy in the electronics store said I will be fine with the new chip set. Man it is sweet give them time and people will see how good they are, It is quiet and runs very cool it blows almost cool air just slighty warmer than room temp after running it for five hours. My friend just bought a 80 gig Ps3 and I reckon the 360 looks better, Tried both machines on the same T.V

Well.. I heard that U got some falcon chip shit or something like that.. Well it appears that Microsoft has removed the RRoD problem from the 60 gb console by removing the RAM cips from the underside of the motherboard and made the RAM chips on the upper side of the motherboard twice as powerful.. And I'm also a proud owner of the 360 60 gb.. Got it last week... :D

when they first released the 360, there was a chip that made the 360 have problems with games, crash, freeze, and internally melt. Luckily they fixed this problem by making a new chip called the jasper that lowers the chances of a red ring. the 60gbs have jasper, and i've had my 360 for like 2 months now and it works fine.

Dont worry, if you get one of the new models, i.e., the 60GB, then your chances of redringing are pretty slim.

the red ring oof death happens when the 360 overheats to a point where the heat sinks (which absorb heat) melt down, because Microsoft tried to cut corners and used some cheap building techniques and materials in taiwan. But they learnt from their mistakes and fixed the problem. The 60GB, which have the new motherboard, still aren't impervious the the red ring, but idk any that has.

the last I got was Rainbowsix Vegas 2 and when I tried to play it for the first time my 360 crashed for the 5th time (yes it was the red rings of death) I'll be getting the 60GB version for sure.

I've had two, myself, but only one actually died on me... I sent it in and got it fixed within two weeks which definitely is not bad... I always sold them within a year just to avoid having an old console.... I too am going to get the 60gb version though... Yes, the 20gb has a falcon chip and so does the 60gb. The only difference between the two is that the the 60gb has the memory chips move out from the motherboard to reduce the risk of overheating.
