I have an 04 G35 coupe for 2 yrs. now and it's used during winter too. It's reliable; A/C and heating are very good in both seasons, quick heating seats.. Handling with un-bald tires is very good, nice power.

I like the G37 X (AWD) coupe; Might trade for that. There's hopefully an engine mngt. hardware and software soon for self ECU tuning and force induction kits..

335i = headache. Don't get me wrong, I love the 335i. It's an amazing car with great performance. The only problem is its reliability. I've owned BMW's before and they spent more time in the shop than on the road. And they're not cheap to repair either. For that alone, I'd take the G37. Plus the G37s coupe looks amazing.

Wow lots of bickering here in the course of two years. First of all, the 335 is the better performing car, period. Is it the better value? Absolutely not. Sorry but the 335 interior looks like every other BMW from the past ten years. It's nice but completely unexciting. Same for exterior styling. The 335 looks like any other 3 series. The G coupe will turn more heads than the dull-looking 335i.

Yes the 335i's n54/n55 motor is under- rated. The TRUE power rating is closer to 330hp/340tq. The G37's VQ motor sounds like crap and lakes TQ and YES the ACURA TL SH AWD out performs the G37. The 335i is the best car in the segment by a long shot

the BMW 335i is massively under rated @ 300hp (the N54 makes closer to 340hp / 340 ft-lb TQ) and has a far more flexible power band vs the G37. You get what you pay for here and the 335i is the superior car. And yes the TL SH AWD performs better than the G37.

This is a excellent car in terms of reliabilty, design, comfort, luxury and possibly class leading in technology. Infiniti has easily out beaten Lexus by a long shot and is now on par with BMW and Mercedes. I own a 2009 Infiniti G37 sedan (journey pckg). The car is just more than fanatastic,the HP available standard in the G37 is crazy,328 HP standard, not even a fully loaded BMW 3 series coupe or sedan can outbeat the G as the BMW 3 series only produces a lousy 300 HP and thats the loaded 335i.

If you are on the verge in purchhasing the 2008 G35 model be aware that the only complaint found on this vehicle is the interior plastics near the door and steering wheel which seems to melt off gradually and very easy to scratch, the 09 G37 was refurbished in terms in materials but they still remain identical. the 2009 model is excellent, i have had no problems whats so ever. The car is a dream, you cant ask for more cause Infiniti gives it to you all over its competitors.

@masterpsychosis The 09 model is very elegant but since this would be a used or new purchase why dont you get the 2010 model? Its completely up to date and it was given a minor facelift to modernize it. In all the g37 hasnt changed in terms of design but the new tweaks make a whole lot of difference. The foglights where removed and placed at the bottom, the center console was changed as well, i would love the facelifted g37 but i rather wait for the new Generation of the G in 2 years.

I have the 2008 G37S coupe. It's NOT the best car for the price ever. It's fun, but only for hauling a**.  For everyday driving and long road trips, I wish I had my '06 TL or my brother's '09 TL. Many more features in the TL too. I could go on and on about the G's features vs. the TL's. Only thing better is that the G (Coupe only) looks better and it's fun to have RWD.

First of all, when you buy a G there are 3 different package. Premium, Navigation, Technology, and Sport packages. From the 34 grand base price you pick the package you want.

The TL with technology package is EQUIVALENT (feature wise) of the G37 with Navigation and Premium packages. In the end they come out to be the same price for the same features at around 39 grand.

Personally, I think the G is a much better car to drive.

voice prompts are actually pretty good in the G37 and there is steat/steering memory..maybe yours isn't set as there is a setting under convenience to turn this off. I do hate that MANY controls are disabled while driving and I'm trying to figure out if this can be enabled.

Regardless, the BMW 335i cost like 7-8k more than the G37. IT SHOULD be better as it cost more. Nevertheless, most car magazines reviewers (Motortrend, Edmunds, etc) that you get 9/10s of 335i performance for 7.5/10 price which makes it a better bang for your buck.

If all you are into is drag racing then the G8 is a great buy it might be the best GM has to offer now its a pretty good car. But anyone can make a large powerful engine that cranks 350 hp. Both are very nice cars. I drove both and I fell in love with the G37, so I decided to get one. You really can't compare them, both different classes. G37 is much more luxurious, has better handling, sounds better, and has much better technology. And trust me, the G37 is barely slower than the G8GT.

the G37 is better then a BMW 3 series in many respects.

1. Power (G37@330hp vs 3series@300hp)

2. Suspension n steering (Sports tuned suspension with 4 wheel active steer for high speed stability)

3. Brakes (oversized disc brakes on the G#& stop it better and dont fade in braking as opposed the 3 series,which has brakes that fade and give as u drive it harder.

4. Price

yes the E90 based 335 coupe & sedan.

obviously the infinti is petrol so they put it against the petrol 335i not diesel.

the G37 at a lower price is better than the 335i coupe/sedan.

The G37 is creeping up on Bimmer, I'm not denying that, but let's see in 15 years how well they still hold together. I don't trust a lot of car manufacturers especially in the looks and performance over time department.

BMW is just the people relate to INFINITI's M is beetter than the 5 series and the G is better than the 3 series and the FX also better than the x6 and x5 and they did it in only 3 years and you get way more for less and more reliability and less maintenance

your point on power is moot. Yes the G37 has 30 more horsepower, but it has 30 lb-ft of torque less than the 335. In the comparison in my motor trend magazine, the G37S won the comparison but when they were talking about the engines, they gave the edge to the bimmer. it also was faster in their performance tests. So boasting about more power for the G37 is pointless, cuz its actually even, and because of the power delivery of the 335, its faster. Your other points are dead on tho

The 911 has no back seat to speak of and very little trunk space. The M3 is a more practical car. Not all of us can get away with a two-seater.
