Gears will never be as big as COD. Gears actually takes time and effort to become good at... that's why people don't play it. Anyone can pick up a controller and at least go positive on COD.

Gears 3 is the best multi player game ever, yet there are 500,000 people playing MW3 every night and only 10,000 playing GoW3. Sad but true.

I think the only problem with Gears is that it is such a hard game to be good at. Call of duty and Halo are very easy to pick up and play, but Gears takes a lot of time that many people aren't really willing to put into it. I like Gears of War 3, I just suck at it.

CoD MW was epic, and MW2 was sick too. Black ops was garbage, and MW3 was better but still a little boring. I find CoD to work for a lot of people but i definitely think they need to change their formula.
