@dank230075 You obviously dont seem to have any form of understanding of music...the point of it is to delve into your mind and create your own atmosphere from it, create your own opinion in what it stands for. No one is wrong or right in what they 'see' and you dont really need lyrics, lyrics lead you down a path that the artist has created for you. This leads anywhere...
I love this song, I first discovered it while looking through a collection of underground electronic artists, and Cancel just struck the right chord with me. For some reason it makes me visualize a self-aware robot or computer realizing the implications of death while it "cancels" and deletes a program, or some other component of itself. And the harried character of the song seems to convey automated and not fully understood feelings of sorrow. Yeah, thats Venetian Snare's "Cancel" to me.
@VideoClam I always find it absurd when people use a story or whatever to describe some music... especially when it doesn't have lyrics. It's like someone describing a film using a xylophone, or an oil painting using dance. Abstract to the point of being flimsy. That's what I reckon. But then again, I am English.
@VideoClam I get this sort of thing all the time, mostly just visual trips and complex emotions, not usually anthing that specific. Assuming you enjoy this kind of thing, check out some other artists like Squarepusher, if you don't already know him.
@sodoomia lol you get full audio quality (well whatever youtube rerendered the mp3 as) at 480p . Anything past that doesn't effect the audio quality just the picture resolution .
maybe now, but when i uploaded these HQ (480p) and HD (720p) audio quality differed. Youtube compressed SD and HQ audio, but left HD audio as it was originally uploaded. I don't know if it's changed.
One of the highlights of his hefty discography. The percussion is absolutely killing me, and there's an interesting contrast between them and the fragile melodies, like in most tracks on this album (and this sort of electronic music in general).
The intro in this song is possibly one of the most chilling melodies I've ever heard. It's so beautiful. I almost cried the first time I heard this song. This man knows how to convey his emotions.
one of the best songs Venetian snares ever made, it's quite long, but very balanced, complex doesn't necessarily mean "random, this is just plain genius :)
Please, beep at me some more.

@OuroGoku I guess it's a great method to use in a creative field, just not as a critique. That's what I meant.

What bit-depth/sample rate is it in HD?
TheMrChugger 1 year ago
I think the source I used was 128kbps actually. Weird I didn't notice, I usually can't stand anything under 192kbps.
