@aerobique I Was surprised to see GreenPeace involved in the making of this visit. Until i did research that they were infiltrated. It is common fact that the earth is cooling, and that the artic sea pac is growing at an excelling rate. Granted during the summer time ice melts, and the summers may occasionally get warmer. But that does not take away from the fact that the winters are colder, and the ice sheet gets larger.

Load of garbage, 40 yrs is not a record of sea ice, it's a blink in time that means nothing at all in geologic terms .
Freakin fear mongering morons think the earth's climate was stable, it has never been stable and never will be, change is the natural order and man has nothing to do with it.
Funny they don't mention that it has surpassed the annual median for growth the past three winters.

If you knew anything at all you'd know that if the planet did warm up it would be the best possible thing to happen, increasing food production and all plant life and lowering the need for energy.

1. Heat increases the spread of disease by allowing certain prokaryotes to mutatue rapidly increasing risks of mutation along the genetic line.
2. Mass flooding caused by melting icecaps..... did you know for example that the whole of the Netherlands will be wiped out by the end of the century.
3. Desertification which can lead millions to even billions towards nutritional disorders which leads to death.

The oceans are not rising, have fallen in fact... that's been proven. sea ice is not lessening, it's growing in some areas of both the Arctic and Antarctic while receding in others, your being sold BS bud.
The Netherlands are below sea level, hence the famous dikes/levees.
Rain will increase in a warmer world bringing the rain necessary for trees.
Desertification is caused by loss of trees and shrubs which hold the soil together, without plants the wind removes the top soil.

Run into a oxfords oceanography lab and tell them their records on Sea Levels are all wrong because you seen a video on YouTube about how it has been proven wrong.
Experts some times need a good laugh.
Heres the contact info for Professor Vellinga who worked with Oxford to prove the raise in sea levels and headed a study in the 4 degrees conference. I am sure he would love a great laugh

If I have learned one thing in my brief 15 years of life is how ignorant and pathetic man can be to the planet and to each other.

I think you should volunteer as an firefighter and go to Texas as soon as possible. I have heard they had lots of trouble with damn global cooling recently. All that cold weather is causing some serious problems all over the world.

You're missing the point.
Everyone knows the planet's climate has varied alot over it's history.
But we have built most of our huge and expensive cities along coast lines.
Sea levels are rising and those coastal cities will be exposed to serious flooding events if not eventual destruction.
We don't know where this is going for sure, but if we have the ability to stabilize the temperate increase and melting ice, we have the moral obligation to our children to do it.

In fact,here in Western Australia our levels are rising at about 5 - 7mm per year faster than the east coast.
