I love how forward and honest Alistair is, he doesnt like EVERY fighter he meets just because hes infront of the camera. @thachozn1429 If Overeem moved over to the UFC, his K1 days would be put on hold. UFC has exclusive contracts, fighters with UFC contracts are not allowed to fight in other organisations (like K1).

I also have to add, GSP does not have shitty stand up. He simply has far too good wrestling to be relying on strikes. Think of Chuck Liddell, a good wrestler with good striking. Was he a champion for long? I think GSP could be a good striker if he wanted to, that may not be the best for his career.

Yea I know the UFC has exclusivity clauses and its limiting the growth of MMA. Imagine if Overeem shocks the world & fights Vitali Klitschko in December. Lets say hes a 28-1 underdog (Just like he was when he fought the Best Kickboxer in the world Badr Hari the 1st time), & the boxing community is calling the fight and Overeem a sham. Lets say Overeem knocks Klitschko out & then signs with the UFC in January. Legions of boxing fans would immediately start watching MMA.

@thachozn1429 After the David Haye fight, Wladimir Klitschko has said that his brother and himself are considering retirement this year. The difference between Vitali-Overeem and Hari-Overeem, was that it was Badr Hari who called out Overeem to a K1 match. Overeem has said that he would like to face Vitali, I doubt Vitali-Overeem would happen at this moment in time.

If they did meet in a boxing match, it wouldn't be likely that Overeem wins by knockout.

Overeem is shredded and has very little body fat on his body. he is like at 9% body fat i believe he said so before. Also overeem in 2007 was a 210 pound lhw! at end of 07 he was 222 against bunetello less than 1 year later! he is 254 pounds against badr hari in k1. than he is 260-266 in k1 in 09. and back at 255 for mma in 2010 against rogers, than 266 against edwards in k1 2010

Nobody ever new unless you where like nick diaz and you tested positive for marijuana in the states! if nick had tested positive in japan it wouldnt have been openly displayed let alone he wouldn't have gotten in trouble. In the USA he has yet to fight in Nevada or California the only 2 states with Top of the Line athletic commissions. Texas, and jersey have different and inferior

Not only that but its possible to cycle your steroid use. with that said Steroids are not all bad its not a big deal easily 50-65% of fighters are using as are more athletes in professional sports. Lets be realistic, CroCop was in terrible shape for that fight, he was coming off of a loss to Conzaga and Congo, his knee was messed up.. He wouldn't have won that fight. If they rematched, I would still have put money on Overeem to win. CroCop is not a well rounded fighter, he was good ground defense, but he has no ground offense.. He's a kickboxer. Overeem can choke you, submit you, knee you, etc. Overeem is in his prime and CroCop is getting old.. Reem would've won.

His training with Werdum was mainly for defence and escaping rather than ground offense, but he knows a few submissions now.. I think he should retire, I mean he's getting old and he's also out of his prime.. If he loses this fight on march 19th I think he should definately retire.

'Cause he gassed. You could see it in how he was OWNING Shogun the entire fight. He wasn't good enough back then to put the finish together, and Shogun was exceptional in his recovery during that scramble when he ended on top of Alistair and began pounding away on his exhausted foe.

It was odd to watch Alistair punch himself out yet not look entirely gassed.
